About the Product Feature Summary The Product Feature Summary provides Administrators with information about the release. It includes a summary of new features and enhancements available in TS 3.6 patch 2. It does not include information on enhancements in any prior release including full releases, service releases, and patches.

What is in the Product Feature Summary? The document contains the following sections:

• Implementation Impact and Actions -Describes expected impact on current production systems and actions necessary to initiate the implementation of these features.

Implementation Impact and ActionsProduction System ImpactThe production system is required to be offline during installation of the patch with all readers and registers allowed to operate in offline mode dependent on local policies. The expected downtime is approximately one hour.

Implementation ActionsTo take advantage of the features and fixes provided in Patch 2 at no cost, please contact your TSM with possible dates and times for installation. Logging a call from Behind the Blackboard can also be done from here.

Enhancements to Existing TS 3.6 Patch 1 FunctionalityFunctionality: Transact now supports the MF4100 as Copy Readers and Laundry Readers

• Blackboard MF4100 MultiFunction Reader • Contactless and Mag Stripe Card

Support • Full Color Touchscreen • Wireless Ethernet Support (802.11b/g)• Runs Copy or Laundry Software

Impact: For more information about the MF4100 and using it for copy or laundry needs in both wired and wireless environments, please contact your client manager.

Functionality: Transact now supports the VR4100 wireless capability in a PCI-compliant environment

• Blackboard VR4100 Vending Reader• Contactless and Mag Stripe Card Support. • Full Color Touchscreen • Wireless Ethernet support (802.11b/g).

Impact: To upgrade the VR4100 with wireless capability to a PCI-compliant environment,configuration of the VR4100 device is required followed by a reboot. These instructions can be found on page 9 of the VR4100 installation guide Behind the Blackboard.

Functionality: Transact now supports Go Daddy SSL certificates as an alternative to VeriSignImpact: Transact 3.6 will support Go Daddy SSL certificates in all 3.6 configurations including PCI compliant environments. Go Daddy SSL certificate installation instructions and requirements for the 3.6 Transact system can be found in Appendix A.

Functionality:Transact now supports the option to route credit card transactions through ClearCommerce's Fraud Detection pipeline. When credit card transactions are being sent to the Payment Gateway (PG), the user can choose to employ no fraud detection or fraud detection resident with the PG, for each credit card store in the Transact System.

Impact: To change the way an existing credit card store processes fraud detection, or to setup a new store, select the check box to allow fraud protection. Instructions on how to navigate to a list of the credit card stores is found in Chapter 13 of the Transact 3.6 System Administrator's Guide found Behind the Blackboard.

AppendicesAppendix A: Go Daddy SSL Certificate Installation Instructions

GoDaddy SSL CertificatesTransact 3.6 requires a SSL certificate be purchased and installed on the Transact application server to encrypt communications with readers. Where the Transact Reporting application is installed on a separate server, create the SSL certificate on the Reporting Server (or other IIS 7.0 server) using the Application Server name. If Transact Reporting application will be installed on a separate server than the BBTS app, it can use a non-VeriSign or Go Daddy SSL Cert.

It is important to note that ONLY Verisign or Go Daddy SSL Certificates will work.

Readers will not work without a VeriSign or Go Daddy SSL certificate.

1. Generate SSL Certificate Signing Request (CSR) 1. On the Taskbar, click Start, then click Administrative Tools, and then click

Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 2. Click the name of the server in the Connections box. 3. Double-click Server Certificates. 4. Click Create Certificate Request... in the Actions box. 5. Type the fully qualified domain name of the computer where the certificate will

be deployed in the Common name box. 6. Fill in the Organization and Organization unit boxes. 7. Fill in City/locality, State/province (do not use an abbreviation for the state, it

must be spelled out), and Country/region. 8. Review the certification information displayed for correctness then click Next. 9. Select Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider in the

Cryptographic service provider, select 2048 in the Bit Length box, then click Next.

10.Enter a file name and location the Specify a file name for the certificate request box, then click Finish.

2. Purchase SSL Certificate 1. To purchase a Go Daddy SSL certificate, go here.

3. Install SSL Certificate 1. On the Taskbar, click Start, then click All Programs, then click Administrative

Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. 2. Click the name of the server in the Connections box. 3. Double-click Server Certificates. 4. Click Complete Certificate Request... in the Actions box. 5. Enter the location of the certificate in the File name containing the

certification authority's response box. 6. Enter a value in the Friendly name box, and then click OK.

7. Complete the following steps if this certificate will used for Reporting System on the local server.

1. Click Default Web Site in the Connections column. 2. Click Bindings... in the Action column. 3. Click Add... in the Set Bindings windows. 4. Select https in the Type box. 5. Select the SSL Certificate installed above in the SSL certificate box. 6. Click OK, and then click Close

8. Click File, and then click Exit4. Export Certificate

1. Complete the following steps to export the certificate for use by the Host Services.

1. On the Taskbar, click Start, then click Run, type MMC in the Open box, and then click OK.

2. Click File, and then click Add/Remove Snap-in.... 3. Double-click Certificates in the Available snap-ins box. 4. Select Computer account and then click Next. 5. Select Local Computer: (the computer this console is running on),

click Finish, and then click OK. 6. Double-click Certificates (Local Computer), double-click Personal, and

then double-click Certificates. 7. Right-click on the same SSL certificate loaded into IIS, click All Tasks...,

and then click Export... 8. Click Next on the Welcome to the Certificate Export wizard window. 9. Select Yes, export the private key and click Next. 10.Select Personal Information Exchange - PCKS #12 (.PFX), select

check box Include all certificates in the certification path if possible, then click Next.

11.Type pfxpassword in the Password box, type pfxpassword in the Type and confirm password (mandatory) box, and then click Next >.

12.Type E:\Install\VeriSign\<computer name>\<computer name>.pfx in the File name box. (Replace >computer name< with the name of the computer on which the Host Services are installed) .

13.Verify the information in the You have specified the following settings box, and then click Finish.

14.Click OK when prompted The export was successful. 15.Click File, then click Exit in the Microsoft Management Console

windows. 16.Click No when prompted Save Console settings to Console1.
