Classes I & II
The Talent Show for classes I & II was a window for the children to showcase their creativity through a gamut
of activities like clay modelling, fireless cooking, music (vocal & instrumental) , dance ( folk & classical),
rangoli, origami, earthen pot decoration, bandanvar making and craft. The event was a joyful and great learn-
ing experience for the little ones.
The students of classes I & II celebrated ‘Culinary Week’ from 8th to 12th October 2018. The activities included
learning of ‘Cooking Vocabulary’, knowing the names of kitchen tools, learning to lay the table, using a fork and
knife to eat and learning to fold napkins. The culmination of the event was the class party which focused on the
three main food groups—energy giving , body building and protective food.
As a prelude to the Culinary Week students of Class I also learnt about the importance of healthy eating and the
need to curb wastage of food in their Life Skill classes. They shared their views about a healthy food of their
choice with their peers.
Festival of flavours:
The children of classes I & II dressed up in traditional state costumes of India and spoke about the state fo-
cusing on festivals, art & culture, famous personalities, important places of visit, language, cuisines, flora
and fauna. A few children sang folk songs and presented the folk dances of the state too.
EVS Project: Natural Fibers
The children were asked to bring cotton, jute ,coir fiber and two pictures related to these fibers eg.
Cotton—cotton garments, quilt
Jute—bags and mats
Coir—carpet and rope.
The children pasted these in the scrap book under their teachers’ guidance.
Classes I & II
Special Assembly :
Class 4E put up a special assembly on the top-
ic ‘World Elder Day’. The assembly sent the message of
respecting and taking care of our elders.
Class 5F:
The students of class V F put up a Special assembly on the
topic , ‘Clean India, Green India’. The students spread the
message of keeping their surroundings clean and green to
have a healthy life.
Trip: 80 students of class V accompanied by 11 teachers
went on an educational trip to Jim Corbett National Park and
Kyari Village.
Activity: In the Inter House Group Song competition,
Kailash House bagged the 1st position, followed by Aravali
and Dhaulagiri Houses in the 2nd and 3rd positions.
English Days were observed from 8th October —10th Oc-
tober. The students participated in Vocabulary Building, Limerick writing and quiz.
In the Inter House English Quiz, Dhaulagiri House won the 1st position followed by Annapurna
and Kailash Houses in the 2nd and 3rd positions.
Achievements: Tagore International School , Vasant Vihar organized an Origami Competi-
tion. BVN was awarded the second prize in the group category. The participants were Harshita
Singh V C, Shaurya Giri V D and Aiza IV B
At the World Wisdom Quiz 2018 held at Modern School Barakhamba Road, Aiza of IV B and Kar-
ma Thinley of class IV G won the second position.
Workshops:
For Students:
Class V attended three workshops on the topic ‘Tolerance’ by the Brahmakumari Organiza-
tion.
Stay Fit & Self Defence by Walt Disney Company for classes I –V
For Teachers:
‘Cyber Crime’ by Mr. Rakshit Tandon for the entire staff
‘Dealing With Stress’ by Ms. Shivani of Brahmakumari Organisation
Ms. Vidya Bakshi and Ms. Shalu Gupta, attended a two day workshop ‘Minecraft’ – The Mi-
crosoft Tool . It was organized by Mr. Kaushik Biswas and Ms. Pranjali of MIEE (Microsoft
Innovative Educator Experts) of Delhi and NCR Microsoft schools at ASN Sr. Sec School.

The Junior School students won laurels once again at the CBSE, Inter School Sports
And Games Competition 2018-19. The results are as follows
At the Delhi Olympic Games 2018, two of our students won the top positions.
