BR: Allows for chromatic aberrations [colours: yellow, red, stain blue vein, flame, small knots and 4-5 knots of max 10mm diameter. Some small cracks [Open or on the edge] and some small wrinkles are allowed.

APPEARANCE: Overlaid with phenol film or with UV resistant film on both the faces. The wear face has a rough wire mesh pattern (W); the reverse is normally smooth (F), although it can have wire mesh on both sides (grade W/W).Textured rough wire mesh overlay is hard wearing and can be used for many different flooring applications.

ADVANTAGES: The wire mesh surface has a high wear resistance and anti-slip properties. The surface is weather- and water-proof, resists to commonly used chemicals. This product is environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC].

APPLICATIONS: Vehicle floors, pedestrian bridges, storage and factory floors, scaffold boards, loading platforms, ship decks, pier surfaces, boatbuilding and grandstands. In general where good anti-slip properties are required.

TEXTURED

APPEARANCE: Composed of 1.4 mm thick peeled veneers cross bonded and sanded on both faces bonded using phenol-formaldehyde resin glue [E1]. This forms the construction for all the products detailed in this brochure except Drawerside plywood. ADVANTAGES: Environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC], durable, easily machined.

APPLICATIONS: Has a wide range of applications for both interior and exterior use including building and construction, transport, packaging, furniture, joinery, sports equipment, children’s toys and many other applications.

APPEARANCE: Birch plywood overlaid on both the faces with a phenol film [dull netted pattern one side with a smooth reverse] or with UV resistant film (grade F/F). Colours:- Light/Dark Brown, Green, Black, Grey & Red.

ADVANTAGES: Surface with high wear resistance, good anti- slip properties, good visual appearance (decorative surface), weather- and water-proof, resists commonly used chemicals and easy-to-clean. Environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC].

APPLICATIONS: In transport industry for floors and walls, storage and factory floors, storage shelves, loading platforms, pier surfaces, boatbuilding, scaffolding and grandstands. In general - surfaces where high wear resistance and anti-slip properties are required.

RHOMB

APPEARANCE: Composed of 1.4 mm thick peeled unidirectional veneers [where the grain of each veneer is laid in the same direction] and sanded on both faces bonded with an interior glue.

ADVANTAGES: This arrangement is regularly used in the manufacture of drawer surrounds, and leads to the product being called birch Drawerside plywood. Environmentally friendly [FSC®].

APPLICATIONS: Drawersides.

DRAWERSIDE

APPEARANCE: Birch plywood sanded both faces with an interior glue line for laser cutting.

ADVANTAGES: Special Birch plywood for the die cutting industry. The fine grained, interior glued panels with special tolerances are widely used for laser cutting. Strong and homogenous birch cuts well is accurate and holds the knives firmly in place.

APPLICATIONS: Laser cutting- die cutting – stripping & blanking tools-printing blocks - model making - Furniture.

APPLICATIONS: Widely recognised in the flight case industry, offering surface strength and excellent impact resistance. Also suitable for vehicle floors, loading platforms, storage floors, pedestrian walkways, stages and stands.

APPEARANCE: Birch Plywood with a decorative high-pressure laminate. HPL is made up of layers of Kraft paper impregnated with phenol resins (the core) and decorative melamine impregnated paper (the surface layer), manufactured under high pressure and temperature. Colours available on request.

ADVANTAGES: The surface is hygienic, odour free, weather- and water-proof, resists commonly used chemicals and UV rays. The surface is easy-to-clean with water and steam.

APPLICATIONS: Furniture industry: kitchen and laboratory furniture components and worktops; furniture for shops, transport industry and construction, surfaces where high wear resistance and appearance are required.

HPL

APPEARANCE: Birch plywood overlaid with a special composite material on both faces.

ADVANTAGES: This product produces a superior appearance to the concrete surface whilst protecting the plywood substrate. The expected lifetime of the panels, when properly used, may exceed 100 times. The thickness of the composite face material helps to protect the plywood against swelling. This material is ecologically safe and recyclable [FSC®/PEFC].

APPLICATIONS: Furniture industry: kitchen and laboratory furniture components and worktops, shops fitting. Transport industry and construction: finishing works of walls and ceiling, surfaces where high wear resistance and appearance are required.

POLIFORM

APPEARANCE: Birch plywood overlaid on one or both faces with a special material. Such a material is used as a core to improve mechanical properties or visual appearance of plywood.

ADVANTAGES: Decorative, environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC], durable, easily machined. COMPOSITE

APPEARANCE: Birch plywood with a sound barrier in the middle of the board. The EVA- based 3mm thick sound - insulating material is primarily intended for insulation of air-borne sound, but also has some structure-borne sound damping properties, especially at low temperature.

ADVANTAGES: Good sound reduction properties, good strength and stiffness properties, light weight

APPLICATIONS: Floors for rail wagons, bus floors, shipbuilding and sound reduction boards.

SOUND INSULATON

FORM

APPEARANCE: Birch plywood overlaid with a white melamine film on both faces (grade M/M); reverse face can be overlaid with a phenol film. Edges are sealed with white acrylic base paint.

ADVANTAGES: The surface is hygienic, odour free, weather- and water-proof, resists commonly used chemicals and UV rays. Environmentally friendly,[FSC® &/or PEFC] and hygienic. The surface is easy-to-clean with water and steam.

Commitments for the Responsible Purchasing of Timber and Timber Products1 Management StructureThe company has appointed a Director to be responsible for the implementation of this Policy and will ensure that relevant environmental issues are discussed regularly at the highest level of management. The company will ensure that all employees associated with timber purchasing are aware of the Policy and its commitments, and are given appropriate education and training to allow its full implementation.2 Responsibility The company recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment, customers, suppliers and staff to base its commercial activities on well-managed forests.3 TTF Code of Conduct The company is committed to the Timber Trade Federation Code of Conduct and applies the Environmental Code of Practice to all wood procurement activities.4 LegalityThe company is committed to purchasing all timber from legal sources and will seek evidence of compliance from suppliers that they are operating in accordance with the laws of their country. The company unreservedly condemns illegal logging practices and will keep informed of international processes and changes in legislation.5 Endangered SpeciesThe company will not trade in timber species prohibited under Appendix 1 of the CITES legislation and will obtain the appropriate documents for trade in all other CITES listed timber species.6 Traceability and Supplier MonitoringThe company will perform a Risk Assessment on all Suppliers, as documented by the RPP. The assessment will seek to provide the clearest practicable information regarding the sources of raw material used in the manufacture of wood products. This information will form part of purchasing decisions and will be made available on request to independent verifiers.7 Timber CertificationThe company supports international efforts to improve forest management, for example, the development of credible timber certifi cation schemes. This company recognises that the independent certifi cation of forests and the process chain is he most useful tool for providing assurances that the timber comes from legal and well-managed forests. The company will only accept, or use labels or certificates that include environmental or sustainability claims – only if they are supported by publicly available standards drawn up in a fully participatory, transparent and objective manner, and are backed by independent inspection.

8 Avoid Boycotts The company will not encourage boycotts or bans on specific species of timber. Notwithstanding this, the company will cease to purchase any timber and timber products whose supply is in breach of the Timber Trade Federation Code of Conduct and, inparticular, the Environmental Code of Practice.9 Continuous ImprovementThe company is committed to work with relevant trade organisations, NGOs and governments to develop its purchasing policy. The company is committed to continuously raise the proportion of timber and timber products, in accordance with the stepwise approach, that originate from legal and sustainably managed forests.10 Reporting and Audit The company will report annually to the appointed auditors. APPEARANCE: Birch plywood which is overlaid with a painting film on the wear face or both sides (P/P), providing a panel surface suitable for painting.

ADVANTAGES: Environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC], easy and fast to paint, less consumption of paint, no cracking on both interior and exterior applications.

PAINT

APPEARANCE: Lacquer birch plywood, that is varnished on one or both faces for interior application. Primer– low viscosity - UV hardening primer. Varnish –acid hardened [LC] or nitro- cellulose [LN].

ADVANTAGES: Decorative, environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC], durable, easily machined.

APPLICATIONS: LC - walls, ceilings, stands, working surfaces, furniture and other components for hard end use conditions.

LN - walls, ceilings, stands, furniture and other components for easy/light end use conditions.

LACQUERED

APPEARANCE: Green in colour composed of 1.4 mm thick peeled veneers cross bonded and sanded on both faces bonded using phenol-formaldehyde resin glue [E1].

ADVANTAGES: In accordance with Australian Quarantine Regulations, impregnated with osmose AC500 preservative using a vacuum pressure process.

APPLICATIONS: Container floors.

CONTAINER FLOOR

APPEARANCE: Veneer 0.6mm [unsanded] is applied to BB/BB Ext Birch Plywood. Can be veneered onto any thickness of plywood to give an Exterior throughout board. Veneer quality is selected according to customer requirements. Very large range of veneers available.

ADVANTAGES: Decorative surface, easily workable, edge of the plywood is used as a decorative feature in a lot of applications. Environmentally friendly [FSC® &/or PEFC]. The panels can be cut-to-size, machined and/or sanded and lacquered.

APPLICATIONS: All sectors of the furniture industry, joinery, construction and shopfitting.

VENEERED
