BIG PHARMA VS OUR FATHERBIG PHARMA VS OUR FATHER

Scripture Reading

“Thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.” Revelation 18: 23.

In the passage of scripture cited above we are told that all the nations of the earth were deceived by sorceries. In other words, God is saying that everyone that will be lost will be lost because of their involvement with some form of sorcery

The Devil has used the media to promulgated the belief that a sorcerer is one who mixes magic potions and cast spells, but, while this is true, the word of God declares that the meaning of sorcery and a sorcerer goes way deeper than magic wand and incantation.

Thus saith the Lord our God, “for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and Idolatry.” 1Samuel 15: 23.

Questions

After reading 1Samuel 15: 23, Do we all agree that witchcraft is an art of sorcery, and that God treats the sin of rebellion as the sin of sorcery?

Has the word of God open our perspective about what sorcery biblically is?

As the Lord opened my eyes to these truths in an incredible way, in like manner, I desire that all who shall hear my voice will be enlighten.

The biblical definition for sorcery is: anything that alters the mind so that it cannot obey the will or the laws of God.

Etymology Of The Word Sorcery

The Greek word used by John, which is translated sorcery in Revelation 18: 23 of the King James Version of the Bible is φαρμακεία (pharmakeia).

According to the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance the given definition for the word is as follows in its Greek Lexicon:

5331 φαρμακεια (transliterated word pharmakeia), phonetic pronunciation far-mak-i'-ah; from 5332; medication ("pharmacy") i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively):-sorcery, witchcraft.

5332 φαρμακενς (transliterated word pharmakeus), phonetic pronunciation far-mak-yoos'; or φαρμακον (transliterated word pharmakon), a drug [or medicine] i.e. spell giving potion; a druggist ("pharmacist") or poisoner, i.e. (by extension) a magician:-sorcerer. 5333 φαρμακος pharmakos, far-mak-os'; the same as 5332:-sorcerer.

Modern medical practise that encourages the use of pharmaceuticals is associated with the ancient Greekritualistic practise known as Pharmakos, whereby a sorcerer would drug two persons and offer them up as human scapegoat in honour of Apollo on one of the chief Athenian festivals: Thargelia, the so called birthday of Apollo. The people did this because they feared the wrath of the gods might destroy their crops and strike them with pestilence.

Therefore, the use of drugs cannot be in any sense linked to the work of Christ because it is the teachings of devil worship, which directly opposes the word of God. Just take a brief look at how drugs are made, and at the first paragraph of the original Hippocratic Oath that has been translated into English, and you will see what I am talking about.

THE ORIGINAL HIPPOCRATIC OATH

“I swear by Apollo, the healer, Asclepius, Hygieia, and Panacea, and I take to witness all the gods, all the goddesses, to keep according to my ability my judgment, the following Oath and agreement: to consider dear to me, as my parents, him who taught me this art; to live in common with him and if necessary, to share my goods with him; to look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art.”

A BRIEF LOOK AT HOW DRUGS ARE MADE

To find a suitable anti-tumourigenic therapeutic drug dose for humans, antineoplastic drugs like Alkeran and Elspar, which are sometimes used to treat metastatic tumours and in chemotherapy to kill cancer cells; and AZT (trade name Retrovir), which is used in the treatment of AIDS was first administered to laboratory animals in a pre-clinical research to obtain important drug safety data by iterative testing. During the pre-clinical stage hundreds of Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Rats, and Mice receive different dosage of the drug solution, with the aim of determine its safety profile before it can be given to humans.

At the end of the pre-clinical research 50% of the animals die from a lethal dose, and those animals that survived the test are killed, nevertheless.

This procedure is called LD50 rating test. The name LD50 comes from toxicology, the study of poisons. It is a shortened form or phrase for “lethal Dose, 50% or median lethal dose. This means a lethal dose is first given (usually in milligrams, micro-grams, or nanograms, per kilogram of body weight depending on the acute toxicity from the drug) to deliberately kill 50% of the test laboratory animals, then a lower therapeutic dose is given, which is held in contrast to the lethal dose first administered.

The LD50 test was created by J.W. Trevan in 1927, but has now been replaced in some countries by the more favoured Fixed Dose Procedure (FDP), which was proposed in 1984 to test a substance's acute oral toxicity using fewer laboratory animals than the older LD50 rating test. FDP method is used to find the dose that produces toxicity signs but without killing the animals, and from there predicts the lethal dose and a lower therapeutic dose. The lowered therapeutic dose is what the pharmaceutical companies would use to determine a safe dosage range to give their human participants or test subjects once they are ready to begin clinical trials.

The 5 in-human stages of clinical trials0). Pharmacodynamics & Pharmacokinetics-looks at the effects of a drug and the atomic process of its actions on the human body and at how the human body affect the movement of a drug and its intended purpose during a chemical reaction. 1). Screening-to form a critical estimation of its prophylactic use in human, establish a safe remedial dosage, and to identify its undesirable side effects.2). Establishing the testing protocol-to evaluate its efficacy, and further ascertain its prophylactic capabilities.3). Final drug testing-the study drug is administered to a much larger group of people from various ethnicity to examine and note the similarities or differences found in other pharmaceutical treatments, as well as to verify its efficacy, and monitor the usually adverse effect of the drug on the test subject. 4). post-approval studies-deals with the commercial processes in which post-marketing observational studies are designed to support and disseminate a marketing message that describe or express in favourable tones the drug's unlikely probability of being deleterious, its benefits, and its optimal use in vivid detail.

At the end of the day, it is clear for all to see that neither the pre-clinical testing, and the different phases of clinical trials were really implemented to protect human safety, even though they are carried out to determine the levels of toxicity of a drug in order to prescribe a therapeutic dose for humans; for every year over hundred thousands of people still lose their life from a therapeutic dose. Why? The answer is simple. LD50, FDP, and phase 0-3 clinical trial look at the short but severe toxic effect the drug has on a group of test subjects in a trial without taking into consideration the chronic toxic effect the drug will have on those same group of test subject if they were given the drug continuously over a longer period.

Question

How can you be sure that what I am saying is the truth?

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8: 20.

In other words, if I do not magnify the law of God and rejoice in the way of the testimony of Jesus Christ and have respect unto His ways of getting things done, there is no truth in me. Read also Psalms 119: 14, 15; Revelation 12: 17 & 19: 10.

Asclepius & Caduceus

The symbol of Asclepius and Caduceus, the word pharmacy and the art and science of preparing and dispensing drugs and medicines practised by a pharmacist, the original Hippocratic Oath, which has been rewritten to hide the true meaning behind the art of Greek medicine, all derived from ancient Egypt, and has influence the way modern medicine is practised today.

Read Exodus 4: 1-3 about the first miracle Moses did, and Numbers chapter 21: 1-9 about the fiery bronze serpent that God told Moses to make and set upon a pole so everyone who was bitten by the serpents that the Lord sent upon them might look upon it and live. Then ask yourself, why God used a serpent?

God was making a statement to the Israelites and the non Israelites, who went with them out of Egypt. You see, snakes had always played a protecting or healing role in Egyptian mythology, that is why the Pharaohs use to wear an emblem of a snake on their crown called the ureaus snake, which showed that they were protected from all harm, thus, God used that occasion to teach them that He alone, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, was their protector, their healer, and not the gods of the Egyptians that they took to themselves and poison their souls unto death.

Ureaus Snake

Moreover, it was a prophetic symbol pointing to Jesus Christ; for as a look of faith at the brass serpent, which resembling the living ones, but had no venom because it was lifeless brought healing, in like manner, a fixed gaze on our lord Jesus who resemble us His sinful brethren in all things will bring healing; for He had not the poisonous venom of sin in Him because He was dead to sin. Hence, when Christ came He said, “as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3: 14, 15.

However, as in the wilderness when Moses raised the serpent upon the pole, and some of the afflicted refused to believe that by simply looking upon that brass image their health would be restored. In like manner, today many of God's people refuse to exercise, even a small measure of faith in the simple provision which God has amply provided in nature to restore our health.

Let me share with you some eye opening, mind wakening, hands on your head truths. The damage done to the body by pollution, poor nutrition, disease, and stress can be repaired better overtime with the natural medicinal properties found in fruit, nuts, grains, herbs, and vegetables.

However, we are so quick to listen with a favourable ear to the theories of so-called scholars, who uses the media (TV, internet, radio, and books) to argue in favour of the pharmaceutical companies. Thus, many are led to rubbished the practice of health reformers, and speculate the reality of the body's ability to heal itself using God's appointed remedies. However, should one stop and truly examine both practises, we would see that the use of pharmaceutical drugs only treats the symptoms and makes the blood become even more feverish because of their toxicity.

What does history and true science have to say on this topic?

“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the

sun.” Ecclesiastes 1: 9.

Let me tell you what I understand from this text (in the context of health reform).

Before the rediscovery of the organic substances that we today call vitamins (in 1913), scientists thought that water, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates were the only nutrients necessary to maintain good health. Nevertheless, men and women who ate foods rich in these components still suffered diseases that were thought to be related to unknown toxicant. Take, for example, in the past when sailors suffered from scurvy and beriberi.

It was James Lind, a Scottish physician in the 1700s, and Dr. Christiaan Eijkman, a Dutch physician and pathologist in the 1800s who rediscovered and confirmed their theory that if the sailors who had these diseases ate citrus fruits and unpolished rice; they would receive nutritional components that could cure scurvy and beriberi, such as Vitamin C and thiamine (vitamin B1), albeit undiscovered at the time.

Scurvy is a disease caused by a deficiency of Vitamin C. It was particularly common amongst sailors until Scottish surgeon James Lind proved that citrus fruit could combat it in 1753. Vasco da Gama and Ferdinand Magellan both lost more than two thirds of their crews to the disease. Scurvy causes blackened skin, ulcers, rictus, loss of teeth, respiratory problems, and abnormal gum growths that quickly rot.

Christiaan Eijkman won the Nobel Prize in 1929 for his observations leading to the discovery of thiamine or vitamin B1. Deficiencies of thiamine cause beriberi, a disease that was widespread in Asia before the cause was discovered by Eijkman.

Beriberi shows itself in paralysis accompanied by disturbances in the sensibility and atrophy of the muscles, besides symptoms from the heart and blood vessels, tiredness and oedema. Decided lesions have been shown in the peripheral nerves which seem to explain the manifestations of the disease. Mortality has varied considerably, from one or two per cent to 80 per cent in certain epidemics.

Skepticism nonetheless persisted in the Southern medical community until 1937, when Conrad Elveheim showed that the vitamin B3 (niacin) cured pellagra in dogs.

Later studies by Tom Spies, Marion Blankenhorn, and Clark Cooper established that niacin also cured pellagra in humans, for which Time Magazine dubbed them its 1938 Men of Science in comprehensive science.

Dr. Goldberger deserves the credit for his initial discovery of the cause of and cure for pellagra, though he died of cancer prior to Elveheim’s proof of his theory.

However, it was not until the first half of 20th century that the organic substances we know as vitamins were rediscovered. The period from 1913, when vitamin A, the first vitamin was rediscovered to 1955 when vitamin B12, the last vitamin was rediscovered, marked a lesson of humility for human science, which I think is worthy of remembrance in this our day. It was a big surprise to the scientific minds in those days to learn that the diseases they thought were caused by some unidentified toxic substances were actually diet-related diseases.

VITAMINS AND MINERALS are needed in small quantities to maintain the elastic tension of muscles, arteries, develop bones and teeth, and facilitate the response to stimuli and other metabolic functions such as energy metabolism. This importance is well documented today more than it was 57 years ago. Numerous research has since then confirmed that vitamin and mineral deficiency in the human body cause toxins, waste from normal cellular metabolism, and other external poisonous substances to accumulate in the body, which overtime gives free radicals the chance to proliferate and cause oxidative stress, which pollute the extra-cellular environment of the body and damage the inter-cellular components of our cells such as the DNA.

James Lind is credited for the discovery of the cause of and cure for

scurvy, which is caused by Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) Deficiency

Christiaan Eijkman is credited for the discovery of the cause of and cure

for Beriberi, is caused by Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) Deficiency

Dr. Goldberger is credited for the discovery of the cause of and cure for

Pellagra, which is caused by Vitamin B3 (Niacin) Deficiency

“OUR FOOD SHALL BE

OUR MEDICINEAND OUR MEDICINE SHALL BE

OUR FOOD”HIPPOKRATES

Today we are still overwhelmed with diseases, which the vitamins, minerals and other natural medicinal properties found in fruits, nuts, grains, herbs, and vegetables can cure, as they did when James Lind used citrus fruits to cure scurvy, and Dr. Christiaan Eijkman used wholegrain rice to cure beriberi.

FOUNDER OF BIOCHEMIC TISSUE SALTS THERAPY Dr. Schuessler realised the importance of certain inorganic constituents of the human body when he examined the remains of a body after combustion of the tissues. He realised that the ashes formed after combustion was composed of 12 mineral salts. This discovery led him to theorised that these inorganic salts are the underlining material of all organs and tissues of the body; and therefore, they are essential to the integrity of structure and metabolic process that takes place in the human body.

Dr. Schuessler went on to prove his theory that disease comes as a result of an imbalance or any deficiency in the requisite amount of one or more of these inorganic tissue salts. Dr. Schuessler recognised that the symptom his patients had was just nature's way of speaking to them, warning them that their body is dependent on a proper apportionment of these organic salts in order for them to maintain optimal health. So, after careful observation of the symptoms, his patients suffered from, he was able to establish which mineral salt was lacking in their body, and appropriated the right inorganic salts in the necessary quantities, which removed the symptom or symptoms indicative of their disease, and help the body to heal itself.

There are many branches of medical science, which deal with the art of healing, techniques that have been mastered by men devoted to preventing, alleviating or curing diseases; but the only methods that God approves are those that up hold the sanctity of His laws, both natural and spiritual, and endorse the use of whole food from plant origin, exercise, clean water, sunshine, self-control, fresh air, rest, and trust in God.

What does the Bible and the Spirit of prophecy have to say on this topic?

Contrasting results

2 Kings 1: 2-4. “And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease. But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? Now therefore thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.”

Who is Baalzebub?

Matthew 12:22-28. “Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.”

2 Chronicles 16: 12. “And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians.”

“King Asa was My faithful servant, but he died before his time simply because he failed to look to Me for healing.” From God to me to you love always. p 24

2 Kings 20: 1-7. “In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, saying, I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord. And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

Many are still sick today all because they trust in the arm of flesh; looking to medical science for deliverance from their illness instead of to God, The Great Physician. Look at the woman who had a rare disorder of the blood in which little fibrinogen was in her blood plasma, which caused her to be subjected to prolong bleeding from a ruptured blood vessel for twelve years. She “suffered many things of physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing better, but rather grew worse.”

The physicians this sick woman visited failed to recognized that the real cause for her complain was afibrinogenemia: the retardation of the production of fibrinogen, a protein present in blood plasma that thrombin would act on to induce blood coagulation; and so they misdiagnosed her and gave her the wrong treatment. Hence, it is written she grew worse.

“Drugs never cure disease; they only change its form andlocation.... When drugs are introduced into the system, for a time they seem to have a beneficial effect. A change may take place, but the disease is not cured. It will manifest itself in some other form.” How to Live, 60.

However, when she heard of Jesus, how He had been opening the eyes of the blind and raising the dead, she pushed her way through the crowd and “came in the press behind, and touched His garment. … And straight way the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of the plague.” Mark. 5: 25-29.

No sooner than she had turned to Jesus in faith, and reached out and touched the border of His garment, was she made whole. What was so special about the border of Jesus’ garment? Was there power in the hem of his garment? The answer to these simple, yet profound questions can be found in the book of Numbers 15: 38-41.

The part of Jesus’ garment that the woman held unto had fringes in the border and there were a ribbon of blue upon the fringe of the border. There was no power in it, however, to the Israelites, what it symbolised was loyalty. Thus, the woman had to completely surrender to the will of God for her healing. So, when the woman held on to the hem of Jesus’ garment, she was letting go of her own way, which she use to go a-whoring to restore her health, that she might remember and do all God’s commandments, and be holy unto God.

Proverbs 17: 22. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

“We should encourage a cheerful, hopeful, peaceful frame of mind; for our health depends upon our so doing.” Testimonies for the Church 3:13.

“Cheerfulness and a clear conscience are better than drugs, and will be an effective agent in your restoration to health.” The Health Reformer, June 1, 1871.

“In the Saviour’s manner of healing there were lessons for His disciples. On one occasion He anointed the eyes of a blind man with clay, and bade him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. . . . He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.” John 9:7. The cure could be wrought only by the power of the Great Healer, yet Christ made use of the simple agencies of nature. While He did not give countenance to drug medication, He sanctioned the use of simple and natural remedies.” The Desire Of Ages p. 824.

“Sick people who take drugs do appear to get well. With some there is sufficient life force for nature to draw upon to so far expel the poison from the system that the sick, having a period of rest, recover. But no credit should be allowed the drugs taken, for they only hindered nature in her efforts. All the credit should be ascribed to nature’s restorative powers.” How to Live, 50.

“There is a disposition with many parents to dose children perpetually with medicine. They always have a supply on hand, and when any slight indisposition is manifested, caused by overeating or exhaustion, the medicine is poured down their throats, and if that does not satisfy them, they send for the doctor.... The child is drugged to death, and the parents console themselves that they have done all they could for their children, and wonder why they must die when they did so much to save them.... Upon the gravestones of such children should be written, Died of Drug Medication.” The Health Reformer, September 1, 1866.

“The disease which the drug was given to cure may disappear, but only to reappear in a new form, such as skin diseases, ulcers, painful, diseased joints, and sometimes in a more dangerous and deadly form. The liver, heart, and brain are frequently affected by drugs, and often all these organs are burdened with disease.... These organs, which should be in healthy condition, are enfeebled, and the blood becomes impure.” How to Live, 61.

Thus saith the Lord, like King Hezekiah, who broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses made, which the children of Israel did burn incense to it. Read 2 Kings 18: 4. In like manner, my people will be broken because today they still look to a serpent on a rod: the staff of Asclepius, and the caduceus or magic wand of Hermes, the Roman Mercury: messenger of the gods, inventor of (magical) incantations, conductor of the dead and protector of merchants and thieves, instead of looking to their God in faith.

Many have trusted in drugs for their healing and are now living with the dire consequences of trusting in the arm of flesh. Are you one of the people of God that make this fatal error? Thus saith the Lord, “Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.” Furthermore, such a person cannot stand up right before Me; and it is impossible for them to glorify Me in their bodies and spirits, which are Mine. but “blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.” Jeremiah 17: 5, 7.

Closing Remarks

Acts 8: 5-12
