On Sunday, July 19, all campers in attendance will be introduced on-field prior to the Brewers/Pirates game, and Camp MVP Chris Teske will be throwing out the first pitch. The following day, Monday, July 20, campers will play each other in a game at Miller Park. All campers will receive a letter in the mail later this year with all the details. Campers who put down a deposit for the 2016 Fantasy Camp received an autographed cap of one of this year’s coaches, and we’re happy to say that all caps went home with a camper this year. Fantasy Camp 2016 is tentatively set for January 31-February 7, 2016. With money raised from Kangaroo Court, the Painted Glove Raffle, Neuman’s Coaches Wig Wear, the Clubhouse Auction, and Robb Slak’s donation, ALS Wisconsin will receive a donation of $7,439 on behalf of Fantasy Camp. Thank you to all who donated in one form or another to this worthy cause. Thank you to all campers and coaches for another great Fantasy Camp. Hope to see you in 2016. Go Brewers! It’s that simple. Behind a dominating performance by Chris Teske, the 2015 Fantasy Camp Most Valuable Player, the Big Hard Dirty defeated the Iron Waffles 4-2 to claim the Camp Championship. Teske pitched a complete game 4-hit, eight strikeout gem and also had two hits in the contest. The Dirty scored two runs in the first inning, highlighted by a Waffles error, and scored single runs in the fourth and seventh frames. Great pitching also loses...sometimes. Gary Anderson, the 2015 Fantasy Camp Cy Young Award winner, was just as dominating on the mound as Teske. Anderson also went the distance with 10 strikeouts, nine hits, and two earned runs in the loss. In the 5th place game, the Boy Toyz didn’t play around and crushed Sweet and Sour 18-3. The Toyz pounded out 17 hits, led by Tim Adamany, Dave Maruska, and Dave Shinkunas with three hits each. Adamany drove in five and scored three times, while Maruska drove in four and scored four times. Brad Polczynski had three hits, while Eddie Contreras, Chris Grossmann, and Bob Kniprath each had two hits in the victory. Great pitching wins. It’s that simple. Behind a dominating performance by Chris Teske, the 2015 Fantasy Camp Most Valuable Player, the Big Hard Dirty defeated the Iron Waffl es 4-2 to claim the Camp Championship. Teske pitched a complete game 4-hit, eight strikeout gem and also had two hits in the contest. The Dirty scored two runs in the fi rst inning, highlighted by a Waffl es error, and scored single runs in the fourth and seventh frames. Great pitching also loses...sometimes.
