Bowl mills suitable for catering to coal throughput from 10

TPH to 120 TPH.

Static or Dynamic classifier as per requirement.

Pulverisers are one of the major auxiliaries in a coal fired thermal power station. They are

used for grinding the pre-crushed raw coal, so that the pulverised product at desired PF

fineness can be fed directly to the furnace of the steam generator.

Tube Mill Size Vs Capacity in TPH

Mill Bowl Size Vs Capacity in Tonnes per hour (TPH) Ball Tube Mill is basically a horizontal

cylindrical tube rotating at low speed on

its axis, whose length is slightly more to its

diameter. The inside of the Cylinder shell

is fitted with heavy cast liners and is filled

with cast or forged balls to

approximately 1/3 of the Shell diameter

for grinding. Advantages of Ball tube mills

include high availability, low

maintenance, constant capacity and

fineness, hard and abrasive fuels are

ground efficiently, large reserve

capacity, increased fineness at low

loads, fast response of over range, low

air-to-coal ratio, ability to pulverise a

wide range of coals, virtually unaffected

by foreign material and the flexibility of

available capacity.

Tube mills suitable for catering to coal

throughput from 30 TPH to 110 TPH.

Bowl Mill is basically a vertical Mill

rotating at Moderate speed (30 to 60

RPM) about its axis. It is recognized as the

most advantageous design of the coal

pulveriser because of its low initial cost,

low maintenance cost, removal of tramp

iron, low power consumption, easy

maintenance, wide range output & quiet

operation.

We also supply PULVERISERS suitable for

grinding Pet Coke / Lime Stone.

STATE OF ART FACILITY

HI-CHROME LINERS FOR BALL TUBE MILLS:

The Tube Mill shell is lined with special Hi

chrome liners for protection of the shell plate.

These liners are replacement components. They

assist in grinding of the coal by optimum lifting of

the balls and forcing them to fall on raw coal

bed. Under this impact, the coal gets pulverized

due to attrition.

For above application Hi-Chrome liners

(Castings) are provided for longer life. The

metallurgy and profiles of the liners are so

designed and selected such that there is

minimum wear on the liners and proper lift is

given to the balls.

In case of Manganese steel liners

they need to be reversed after 50% of its

wear life whereas the High Chromium

liners are designed to eliminate the liners

reversal and to enhance the liner life to

10 to 15% and thereby increasing the mill

availability.

BHEL Hyderabad has adequate

facilities to manufacture Hi-Chrome liners

to meet market requirement.
