Appliance Efficiency: Roles we play internationally
• Knowledge – Draw on expertise in appliance standards in the United States,
Europe, and other developed nations– Share standards to promote harmonization
• Awareness– Lead campaigns to increase consumer knowledge of Energy Star
and Energy Guide labels on major appliances• Outreach
– US: assembled a broad coalition to implement efficient appliances with organizations include the US EPA, DoE, ACEEE, etc
– China: assembled an innovative coalition that included the Chinese Government, other government and non-governmental organizations
