Lighting is our passion and has been at the heart of our family

business for 6 decades.

Our product is proudly “Made In Britain” as TYSON manufactures at

our HQ in Lancashire, creating handmade light fixtures using

traditional techniques, passed down through generations.

I have curated a team of likeminded professionals to share and

build our dream with. We are lighting designers, product designers

and manufacturing engineers with grit, determination and with skill

at our craft to rival the worlds renowned lighting producers.

manufacture custom items at our purpose built light fitting factory supplying projects globally across all project

disciplines. With a strong team of makers and technicians armed with highly specialised machinery and years of

know-how, TYSON can build a light fitting to any specification.

Tell us your ideas, show us your sketches and inspirations and our experienced team of product designers will work alongside you to transform your concept from paper to product. Using the latest SOLIDWORKSprofessional software we will break down the components required and virtually build your vision allowing you to see its inherent workings and ensuring viability of design. As part of the process we will supply sample swatches of materials and finishes to ensure the exact finish you require is achieved.

From there, detailed product design drawings will be passed to our manufacturing team who will then fabricate at the highest standard, using traditional and modern methods to create your bespoke light fitting.

M a n u f a c t u r i n g p r o c e s s e s

TYSON’s specialism lies in metal work. Our machining capabilities include processes such as metal turning, cuts, ring-rolling and drilling. We have a team of skilled craftsmen who can offer services such as tig and mig welding, silver soldering andmetal bending.

Backed by a strong supplier network of the finest producers of glass blowing, laser cutting and powder coating (to name a few).

Not only do we work closely with these suppliers, we visit each factory so we know they take the same level of care in their work as we do in ours. They are extended members of the TYSON manufacturing team. Any aspect of work that is outsourced is managed carefully to our exacting standards.

Our decades of experience in the manufacturing industry combined with our supplier network means we price competitively and deliver on our promises.

M a t e r i a l F i n i s h e s

Specialist finishes

• Brass• Steel• Sprayed paint• Power Coating• Metal Dye• Lacquering

Specialist metal finishes can be applied to steel, brass, copper, and aluminium. Our surface treatments have been developed in-house through extensive testing to recreate the ageing or tarnishing process using patination.Finishing such as polished and satin surfaces are done by hand.

TYSON also have a wet paint finishing department where we can match your colour reference in high gloss, satin or matt finishes.

We are passionate about manufacturing and lighting. We always strive to create exciting new finishes in addition to our standard range.

A s s e m b l y + T e s t i n g

All our work is carried out in accordance withBS EN 60598.

Our products are tested using high voltage equipment with the facility for laboratory type testing when needed. We test all components for continuity including light sources, drivers and control gear to ensure compatibility with the required dimming protocol.

On request TYSON also offer onsite installation assistance to ensure coordination with all parties.

The Corn Yard was a project that combined lighting design and product design.Winner of the 2018 Northern Design Award for ‘Best Residential Development’, it was our great pleasure to be involved in such a unique project.

The concept for the bespoke lighting on this project was conceived by the client and industrialised by Tyson. The family of light fittings were continued though both properties in varying sizes and finishes.
