BENZ 722.9 Gearbox Programming


一、Vehicle model supported:Support E、S、C、SL、M、B、A、CL series 280 ECU programming fromBENZ main system before year 2013 and part of year 2014.

二、Preparation for programming:ArtiPad I main unit、connector、ArtiPad I standard configuration USB cable.

三、Programming precaution:1、 Please keep the vehicle voltage stable at 13-14V.2、The programming process doesn’t operate any vehicle electrical equipment.3、Don’t sit in the car when programming.4、Don’t start the engine, and only open the ignition switch was ok.5、 In order to ensure the speed and stability of programming. It was

recommended to connect ArtiPad I standard USB cable to do programming.

四、Programming process:Select “Local Diagnostic”Select BENZ iconControl module programmingcorresponding system Online download programming files （ ConnectWIFI、Login on account）Perform programming Coding

1) Select “Local Diagnostic”, See Picture1;

3) Select “Control module programming”，See picture 3；

4) The device can automatically identify VIN code after control moduleprogramming, please check it and click “Yes” if the vin code was right， seepicture 4；

5) Show like picture after clicking yes，see picture 5；

Picture56) Enter the corresponding system programming, here choose gearbox

722.9 as an example to select the automatic transmission controlmodule，see picture 6；

7) Select “Control unit Programming”，see picture 7；


Picture78) It had some risk to do programming, please pay attention to view therisk tips and precautions, and then select “OK” to continue. See picture8；

9)The following step was for the old ECU data written to the new ECUdata, If the old ECU completely damaged directly click “Cancel”，andthen follow prompt to operate it. If the old ECU could read the data sosuggested following picture 9 to 17 steps to carry out.

10)Check the EHS number engraved on the underside of the electrical connector onthe valve, If not, select “Edit” to enter the correct EHS part number and select“Continue”. see picture 18；

Picture1811) Select “Download” to start downloading the files needed for programming,because there may be more one file, so possibly had multiple download tips. Seepicture 19；

12)Click “Confirm” to continue after downloading successfully， seepicture 20；

Picture2013)List the specific file name and some precautions needed to be programmed , select“Yes” to start programming，see picture 21；

14) It had some risk to do programming, may lead control module to abnormal, Ifcontrol module was normal, not recommend to continue, If you want to program,select “Yes” to start. See picture 22；


Picture2215) The device will prompt programming process until 100% completely. Seepicture23；

16) Show “Control unit programming was completed successfully.” See picture 24;


Picture2417) Perform Coding function after programming, will read data from old ECU writtento new ECU，See picture 25 to 27；

18) The all reading data from old ECU will be written to new ECU after codingcompleted. If the new ECU fully matched this car and no fault code so needed not todo SCN online coding function, so end programming, Otherwise you needed to doSCN online coding function，see picture 28；

19)The following procedure was for SCN online coding function, If the vehicle wasnormal after programming so you can ignore all the next operation step, Otherwiseselect the SCN coding(online code) menu, See picture 29;

20) Click “Yes” after keeping the internet connected, see picture30;

21) Select “Download” to start downloading the coding files, there may be more thanone file, so it prompted to download several time, See picture 31;

22) Prompt “Downloaded successfully”, See picture 32;

23) Perform coding function after clicking confirm and prompt wait time.See picture 33;

24) Need to reset ECU after coding completed, turn off the ignition and wait 10seconds. And then turn on the ignition. The coding was completed. See picture 34 to37

25) If you cannot start engine after coding completed, please access to specialfunction and perform “driving license” or “initialization” function. See picture 38;
