The Belt Linear Screen (traditionally known as the DELKOR Linear Screen) was developed through extensive test work to solve a major problem in CIP / CIL process in the gold industry - the effective removal of thrash material from slurries. The unit is capable of screening between 150 and 2000 microns. These screens efficiently separate a relatively small amount of a well-defined size fraction from ground slurries that is coarser than the particles required for downstream processing. The Belt Linear Screen is primarily suited to scalping coarse oversize material from process slurries and is widely accepted by the mining industry for removal of tramp material from fine mineral or chemical slurries. Vacuum assisted operation is available as an enhanced option.

DELKOR BELT LINEAR SCREEN FEATURES

Belt Linear Screens have replaced vibrating screens in many plants because of the following advantages:

This screen operates with no vibration. This prevents realignment ofoversize material with the cloth aperture, ensuring retention of all oversize material. This resulted in 98.7 % removal of wood fibre as measured on site (see graph).

APPLICATIONS

The Belt Linear Screen can be used in all mineral processing flowsheets. The widest use of these screens is in the processing of gold, iron ore and base metals.
