On AGS for copper conductors it is made of brass. 3.Aluminium/brass alloy strap 4.Nut. bolt with split-pin and lock-nut, of galganized or Inox steel. 5.PREFORMEDrodsofaluminiumalloy,aluminium coveredsteel, galvanizedsteel, orcopperalloyaccording to the conductor. : , , . . These accessories are supplied with the following indicators: Centering Mark for positioning of the rods on the clamp. Colour code assists the identification of the size of the conductor or cable on which the accesory is to be applied. Range of admissible conductor or cable diameters. . . 20% 30. 30 60Double ARMOR-GRIP. Technical Characteristics Vertical Breaking Strenght: See Table of Characteristics. Slip Load: 20% of the rated breaking strength of the conductor under unbalanced load conditions. Sag and line angle: Maximun recommended is 30. For angles of between 30 and 60, the Double ARMOR-GRIP Suspension is recommended. ARMOR-GRIP , PreformedLineProducts , . . , , , . , , . INSTALLATION The ARMOR-GRIP Suspension may be used on conductors damaged by fatigue at the suspension point, having previously installed a PREFORMED Splice on the damaged area, thereby prolonging the life of the conductor. The diameter of the GSA will correspond to the overall diameter of the conductor plus the Splice. In high-corrosion areas where Utilities are obliged to use copper conductors, Apresa-PLP Spain has developed a copper alloy GSA which resists any possibility of electrogalvanic corrosion. Remember that the lay direction of this accessory must be the same as that of the external layer of the conductor or cable to which it is applied. 5 1/Table 1. / All dimension in mm / Range 6.60-12.23 12.24-13.78 13.79-14.57 14.58-16.40 16.41-19.07 19.08-23.05 23.06-25.54 25.55-30.70 30.71-34.43 34.44-39.55 A22222222222222222222 B36312832323434343234 CM16M16M16M16M16/20M16/20M16/20M16/20M16/20M16/20 D6476649095115127139153166 E50606366728392105122128 F100106104107121135146155171176 G55555353637074758083 ( )/Load (daN) 5.0006.0006.0007.0007.00010.00010.00012.10012.10012.100 / Clamp60.21060.20160.14160.20260.20360.20460.20560.20660.20760.208 . CUSHION-GRIP TM. , , , . , . , . . : 1. , . 2.:, . 3.CUSHION-GRIP, . 4. . 5. . Description Since 1998 the CUSHION concept has been field proven with some previous products from PLP applied to OPGW and conductors. Both of them have had broad industry usage and acceptance. With that experience the CUSHION-GRIP TM Suspension was developed. The level of protection provided by the CUSHION-GRIP TM Suspension is comparable to a bolted suspension clamp over armor rods, but without the material and labor costs associated with the armor rods. It has a unique design which allows the lower captive fasteners to act as a hinge. This feature creates a one-piece unit that is Simple spread open and slid over the conductor. There are no loose parts to handle or to drop. The one-piece design makes installation simple, even when using hot sticks or when working from a helicopter platform. The main features and benefits are: 1. No loose parts: all are captive and factory installed to create a one-piece assembly. 2. Simple labor saving installation: just spread the body halves, place over the conductor and tighten fasteners. 3. Internal Cushions minimize conductor bending stresses at critical entry locations. 4. Compatible with standard attachment hardware. 5. Designed for EHV Applications corona free. Description PREFORMED Armor Rods are designed to reinforce the conductor and to protect it from the damage to which it is normally subjected at the suspension point by both static and dynamic forces, e.g. Iongitudinal traction, flexion due to bending, radial compression, torsion, alternative flexion, etc. They are made of aluminium Alloy (AVP), copper Alloy (LVP), galvanized steel (GVP) or aluminium covered steel (XVP or WVP) according to whether they are to be used on conductors of aluminium alloy/ACSR, copper, steel or aluminium steel/alumoweld, respectively. Although the degree of protection required for a specific line depends on a number of factors, such as the design of the line itself, the extreme temperatures and winds speeds expected, the conductor tension, etc., as a general recommendation Armor Rods should be used as minimum protection where conventional, bolted clamps are used for conductor suspension. The accessories are supplied with the following indications: Number of rods por set. Colour code assists identification of the size of the conductor or cable on which the accessory is to be applied. Centering mark for installation positioning. Identification with catalogue number and range of admissible conductor or cable diameters. 14 , . , . , 305,,, . , , . The length of the rods is greater if the conductor is suspended by means of two clamps, rather than one. Unless otherwise specified, all orders for this accessory will be supplied with the rod lengths corresponding to a single clamp. For a double clamp, if the distance between clamps is greater than 305 mm., please consult our Technical Office for the correct installation procedure. Remember that the lay direction of this accessory must be the same as that of the external layer of the conductor or cable to which it is applied. .
