    Note: If at any t ime du ring t he installation process you receive a “Device Signature Not ice”, click 

    “Yes” or “OK” to cont inue t he installation process.

    then restart the system.

    Note: The PC Card is sensitive to stat ic electricity, wh ich can damage it s delicate electri

    component s. To prot ect your device, always touch th e metal chassis of you r compu ter

    handling t he PC Card. This will ground any potent ial electrostatic discharge. Dry weath

    or w alking across carpeted fl oors may cause you t o acquire an electro static charge.

    1. After install ing the software andrestart ing t he system, insert the PC

    Card into an available PCMCIA slotof your notebook computer w i th thecolor label facing up.

    The “ M y Bluetooth Places” program prov ides a quick and easy way to per form di f ferentapplicat ion services through Bluetooth connect ions. A var iety of Bluetooth services and

    explanat ions of each service can be found in th e Help f ile of the “ M y Bluetooth Places” program.

    Bluetooth Services

    Dial-up Netw ork ing: Allow s your com puter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth wirelessconnect ion to a Bluetooth device (as server) to access the server’s modem service to the Internet.

    Generic Serial: Allow s your com puter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth w ireless connect ion t o aBluetooth device (as server) using a tem porary ser ial port conn ect ion to allow legacy applicat ions

    to ut i l ize the Bluetooth connect ion.

    LAN A ccess: Allow s your comp uter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth w ireless connect ion to a

    Bluetooth device (as server) to access the server’s connected LAN network service.

    FAX Client: Allow s your com puter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth w ireless connect ion to a

    Bluetooth device (as server) to utilize the fax facility attached to the server.

    FTP: Allow s your comp uter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth w ireless connect ion todevice (as server) to perform file system actions.

    Inbox: Allow s your comp uter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth w ireless connect ion

    Bluetooth device (as server) to send f i les, e.g. business card, e-mail, etc. , throug h serinformat ion m anager (PIM) act ions.

    OBEX IrM C Sync: Allow s your comp uter (as client) to establish a Bluetooth w ireless a Bluetooth device (as server) to synchronize the t w o d evices’ mail ing address book .
