Conspirator Guy Fawkes attempts to plant gunpowder in the cellar of the Palace of Westminster,Nov. 5, 1605. Fawkes became involved with a group of English Catholics who planned to assassinatethe Protestant King James. The plan was to blow up the House of Lords during the State Opening ofEngland's Parliament event.

The arrest of Guy Fawkes. An anonymous letter http://www.myscaffolding.com sent to WilliamParker revealed the plot to the authorities. The king ordered a search of the House of Lords; Fawkeswas discovered guarding 36 barrels of gunpowder.

Conspirator Guy Fawkes starts to climb a ladder to the gallows on the day of his execution. Thehangman waits at the top of the ladder with a noose in his hand and a masked executioner standswith an axe in his hand at the bottom of the gallows. As he climbed the ladder to the noose, Fawkesmanaged to jump from the scaffolding, breaking his neck in the fall and died instantly.
