Before You Accuse Me — Rhythm Parts

The first rhythm part (R1) for this song is mostly a shuffle, played with downstrokes on two adjacent strings.

For the first 10 bars of the progression, apply what you see in the diagrams (right) to the appropriate chord.

For bars 11/12 of R1 , follow the Tab shown right. Any standard voicing of an E7 chord will do. (See R2, for example.)

The second rhythm part is a strum with a mute on beats 2 and 4. Effect this mute with the strumming hand by bringing the side of the hand down on the strings simultaneously with the pick. This should produce a snare-like effect. That strum is diagrammed below, left. To the right of that you see the chords used.

For R2, apply this strum... ...to these chords, through bar 10.

As in R1, the last two bars of R2 are slightly different, and they are shown to the right here. The final bar is almost identical with R1 at this point.
