With the BEETLE /iPOS plus Wincor Nixdorf offers a modern bezel-free, retail-hardened POS system design with new leading-edge projected capacitive multi-touch technology. The 15” TFT screen offers a resolu-tion of 1,024 x 768 pixels.

The BEETLE /iPOS plus is a versatile POS terminal and kiosk system with its elegant, stylish “all-in-one” de-sign and graphical, multi-touch user interface. The system dovetails seamlessly into the open standard-based BEETLE POS family. It boasts a choice of standard and retail-spe-cific powered interfaces to support the various POS peripherals. Fur-thermore, the following options are available as integrated devices: ▪ Magnetic card reader ▪ Fingerprint reader ▪ Customer display ▪ iButton Dallas key reader

Reliability @ its bestBEETLE /iPOS plus is designed as a

fanless system unit with a sealed housing. This prevents the system’s interior from becoming soiled. In-stead of a hard disk the system can be configured with a state-of-the-art Solid State Disk. This eliminates all moving parts. The housing is made of aluminium and underlines the systems’ robustness to be used in harsh and dusty environments as e.g. found in hospitality and fash-ion stores. Furthermore the system comes in a splash-proof system de-sign. The front side fulfills IP65 specifications whereas the rear side is specified for IP31.

Lowest power consumptionThe motherboard is based on Intel’s latest power-saving Atom Cedarview processor technology. The D2560 is a powerful dual core processor with 2.0 GHz offering more than sufficient performance to run modern POS applications. The ultra-low-voltage processor, a highly energy-efficient power supply and the advanced power management features guarantees lowest power consumption and keeps the operating costs low. The usage of embedded chip sets and processors ensure an extended lifecycle of the product.

Ergonomics The VESA-compatible mounting solution allows the BEETLE /iPOS plus to be used not only as a desk-top model but also as a wall or pole-mounted system. The viewing angle and the anti-glare screen support individual adjustments and reduce light reflections. With over 40 years of retail experience in the business, we know our cus-tomers’ requirements for high avail-ability, stability and continuity of systems, as well as for low total cost of ownership, i.e. all costs in-curred during a product’s lifecycle. The systems are “management ready” and support software distri-bution, inventory management or remote administration of current IT management solutions. The ser-vice-friendly design enables fast and easiest exchange of compo-nents e.g. the swap of the storage device.
