OUR PHILOSOPHYOur journey began in 1993 when we were first introduced

to what would become the fundamental building block of

Caudalie: grape-seed polyphenols. We were fortunate to

encounter the renowned scientist Dr. Vercauteren during a

grape wine harvest on our family ’s estate, Chateau Smith

Haut Lafitte near Bordeaux in France. What he revealed to us

that day would pave the way to a new approach to dermo-

cosmetic skincare. He uncovered the unparalleled anti-oxidant

power of grape and grapevine polyphenols. We worked clo-

sely with the doctor to find a way to harness this power for

use on the skin, and were successful with our first

patent for the stabilization of grape-seed polyphenols, an

unprecedented discovery for the health of skin!

Since our first encounter with Dr. Vercauteren, we have

continued together our research of the grapevine for over

10 years. We have three worldwide patents for molecules of

the vine, and more importantly to us, millions of satisfied
