Fall Fest Vendors Needed

Something new to Fall Fest this year--Craft Vendor spots are available to reserve for a monetary donation of $25 and a Silent Auction donation. We are looking for non-food vendors that want to setup and sell their own items and creations during Fall Fest. Additional information and an application are available in the Fall Fest newsletter.

Earn a chance to win a special Angry Birds Fall Fest prize basket!

Thank you to all who have been turning in your Box Tops and Labels for Education!

In celebration of our first postmark deadline, 28 October we are offering special prizes at the end of October!

The top three students who turn in the most in each grade will win special prizes.

PLUS, every student who participates will get a chance to win the special Fall Fest prize basket! The more you turn in, the more times your name will be entered for the drawing! The deadline to earn entries for the basket is Thursday, 27 October (the day before Fall Fest), but please get your Box Tops and Labels for Education turned in continually so that I have time to process them prior to the deadline!

So clip all those Box Tops, Bonus Box Tops, and Labels for Education points from your pantry, and ask grandparents, neighbors, and friends to save them for you!

Please label each submission with the student’s first and last name, grade, and teacher (if you believe your child has turned in bags with only a first name, please email me with a full name).

Please watch expiration dates on Box Tops! If you have any that will expire before our second postmark deadline of March 31st, please get those in now!

Please let me know of any eBoxTops earned through the Box Tops Marketplace – these count towards prizes!

IT’S TIME TO ORDER YOUR 2011-2012 BBE MEMORY BOOK!

The school year is well under way, and so is the creation of this year's Memory Book! Cameras, volunteers, and the yearbook club are working hard

to capture all the memories of your student(s) and other notable events at Bear Branch!

The PTA and the publishing company need your help for the first installment toward the book's completion, so please get your order in today! There is only a certain amount of yearbooks distributed to our school, so now is the time to

reserve your copy. The cost is $29.00.

A letter and order envelope should have been sent home with your child last week; if you need anotther, please pick one up in the front office.

On Thursday, 10 November, BBE is having a special celebration honoring our veterans. We begin the day at 8:30 a.m. with an assembly that recognizes these heroes and their families, followed by a reception for our guests. All veterans and their families are welcome to attend. If you have a family member who is a veteran who will be attending, we would like to recognize him/her at the assembly and place his/her name on our Wall of Honor, which is in the cafeteria for all to see. If you have a family member who is a veteran and cannot attend, we would like to recognize him/her by placing his/her name on our Wall of Honor.

If you would like to have your veteran recognized, please fill out the following form, attach a picture of your veteran, and place it in the box in the front office. The deadline for the forms is Friday, 05 Nov. If you send in a picture, please send a copy and not the original (we are afraid an original picture could be damaged). If you do not have a picture, that is fine, just fill out the form and we will make a certificate for your veteran.
