MESSAGE FROM MRS. KENNAUGHWe have a lot of medications in our office that are

dispensed to students each day. If your child hasmedication at school, whether prescription or over-the-

counter, please be sure to pick up his/her medication byJune 6. In planning for the 2013-14 school year, we will

be unable to accept medications on the first day of

school. However, our office opens on August 12 (with varied

hours), so please call the office (517-925-5480) to schedule a

time to bring the medications into school prior to the first day ofclass for students. Thank you!

Backpacks are allowed the last day of school, but we ask thatyour child bring his/her bag to school empty. Thank you for

your assistance!

With the many varied rumors that have been going aroundabout the principals changing buildings, I want to announce that

I am staying at Beagle. I am pleased to do so!

Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped in our building

throughout the year! Whether you assisted in the classroom,chaperoned field trips, or volunteered to work our PTO-

sponsored events, we couldnt have had such a successful yearwithout your help. Thank you for your dedication to our Beaglestudents!

With summer vacation approaching, I want to

encourage you to continue collecting Box

Tops throughout the summer. This is aneasy, yet effective way to raise money for ourschool. Our PTO makes sure the Box Tops

get turned in so that we can get credit for

them. Thank you for supporting us!

Please remember that Raz Kids is available to students through

the summer months. I highly encourage parents to have theirstudents access razkids.com and other educational websites

as well.

6TH GRADE RECOGNITION INFORMATION

To celebrate the end of your student's

elementary experience, we would like to

invite parents/guardians to the Beagle Sixth

Grade Recognition at 6:00 p.m. on TuesdayJune 4 in the Beagle gym. This casualceremony will run from approximately 6:00

to 7:00 pm. and will begin with a brief choralperformance by a small special group of Sixth Grade

girls who call themselves Awesome Sauce a

Cappellas. (It maybe a good idea to bring yourtissues!) Sixth grade students will then be called up to

receive their certificate of completion. Immediatelyfollowing this presentation we invite students and

families to join us in the cafeteria for a receptioncourtesy of our Beagle PTO.

END OF THE YEAR CHECKLIST

Medication: If your child has anytype of medication in the office,please pick these items up by June 6

th. Please

remember to have an adult pick these up. Any medication notpicked up will be properly disposed of on June 7th.

Lost and Found: Remember to stop by and look for

any clothing or items your child is missing. Unclaimed

lost & found items will be donated to charity on June 14.

Enrollment Changes: If you know your child willnot be attending Beagle next year, please call the officeat 925-5480. Likewise, if you know of families that are

moving into/out of our area, please have them contact us.

Transportation Changes: Please notify the GLPSTransportation Dept. if you have any changes to your

transportation needs such as a new daycare provider,new address, or if your child will need to begin

transportation to and/or from school. They would like thisinformation as soon as possible and will be in their officeduring the summer. You can reach them at 925-5300.

Student Lunch Account Money: Please check withFood Services at 925-5733, or online to make sure yourchilds account does not have an overdue balance. All

outstanding balances must be paid by June 5th

Library Books: All library books should be returned
