Children’s Ministries THE NEW “AWANA” YEAR is in full swing, but there is still time to
get your kids registered. Just bring them out THIS Wednesday @ 6:15 PM
and get them signed up so they can start memorizing Scripture and grow in
the application of the Word to their own lives!
LOVING CHILDREN—“Let the little children come to Me, and don't stop
them…” Jesus said. He was “blessed” by them! God, help us see children
as a blessing from You! When we do, we’ll make them a priority, in our
ministry, as a Church! Please pray about these needs:

General Announcements OUR CURRENT SERIES: What should ministry look like? During the next
year we’ll take a Biblical tour of our 12 church “Ministry Values” one month at
a time—our journey will help us discover “who” we are; and, “why” we do
what we do! During October—we’ll focus on this: “That Our Community Of
Believers Mature As Disciples Of Christ In Personal Spiritual Development.”
“YOU’RE BECOMING WHO YOU ARE” is the title of today’s message.
Pastor Terry’s text will be 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14. For many believers,
spiritual growth is nothing more than “behavior modification.” It’s the constant
effort to change yourself by the power of your flesh! God, however, intends to
produce authentic life change by the power of His Spirit!
LADIES RETREAT: THIS Friday & Saturday, October 7-8, at Lewis &
Clark Park in Yankton. Stop by the Welcome Desk and signup! Edify & build-
up our faith “community”—make every effort to be there!
SMALL GROUP “BON FIRES”—Did you know there was a “fire pit” @
the Church parsonage? And, you are welcome to use it! All of our Small
Groups are invited to schedule a “bon fire”, through the Embke’s, should you
like to promote such an activity with your group! There is plenty of wood

OPEN HOUSE—Saturday Afternoon, October 22, in the church foyer, to
help celebrate Dr. Martin Mosier’s 80th birthday & Bruce Mosier’s 70th
birthday! Dr. Mosier actually served as pastor of our church (then known as
Billy Sunday Memorial Tabernacle) from about 1960-1975. Everyone is

4. Reads, studies, and memorizes the Word of God regularly.
5. Witness faithfully in word and deed as the Spirit of God
leads. 6. Mature as disciples of Christ in personal spiritual develop-
ment. 7. Pursue fruitfulness in ministry utilizing spiritual gifts,
training, oversight & support. 8. Serve widows, orphans and others; meeting their physical
and spiritual needs. 9. Spur each other toward spiritual growth including active
small group participation & accountability. 10. Equip and support each other in building healthy marriag-
es and training up children of Godly character. 11. Pray without ceasing. 12. Live generous lives as faithful stewards of God's resources.
