Welcome to the 2014 Be-A-Star Program: Focus on the Future
Every goal, no matter how big or small, is achieved one step at a time. If you know what success looks like, you can map the path to get there. Achieving our business goals, like the ones outlined in this year’s Be-A-Star program, ensures a successful outcome for our team, our business, and the company. Achieving our business goals calls for us to stay focused and that’s why we’re calling this year’s Be-A-Star program Focus on the Future.
The Be-A-Star program is your guide to success. Star achievements are aligned with your sector’s MAP goals and other important business objectives that will ensure your success and keep you focused. The program consists of three ‘Star’ periods, aligned with the first three quarters of the fiscal year. In the fourth quarter results are tallied and national winners are determined.
To succeed we have to look forward, set goals, imagine possible challenges, and take steps to meet them. By thinking ahead, we can plan for any outcome and avoid those surprising bumps in the road. Trying to anticipate the future isn’t easy, but it’s essential for success. That’s why we’re calling this year’s Be-A-Star program Focus on the Future.
The Be-A-Star program gives you goals that will help you be successful, while offering you the opportunity to be recognized for being the best. Star Achievements are tasks aligned with your division’s MAP objectives and other goals. The program consists of 3 Star periods, aligned with the first three quarters of the fiscal calendar. In the fourth quarter, results are tallied, and national winners are determined. Challenge yourself and your team to exceed expectations, and you may be among the winners!
You can access your program instructions, find support, upload submissions and claim Stars right here on the Be-A-Star website. We’ve done our best to make it simple and to give you links to everything you’ll need. Please help us keep it ‘green’ by completing and submitting all reports and forms electronically.

Program Roll Out
The program roll out allows you to introduce the Be-A-star program to your team. Each person in the unit should help take responsibility for the BAS program. Give all your associates a chance to take responsibility. Read aloud what is expected for the year, ask them what they can do to help complete the program, give them an initiative to be in charge of. Work together as a team to complete the program for the year.
