The chapters Board of Directors use the BBS to conduct business, contact other chapters and to store electronic chapter documents.

During the April Program Meeting we honor the students who participated in our Educational Programs (HSCC, After School Programs, Computer Literacy). Many members attend the National Conference in August. A meeting is not scheduled for August. In December the chapter sponsors a members-only Christmas/Kwanzaa celebration.

New Innovators in Information Technology (NIIT) - NIIT promotes students to develop Information Technology applications. Students learn the steps in project management. The best projects receive a prize. NIIT is the vision of Pam White of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter and sponsored by the Wilson Elementary School.

Fourth Annual Student Mini-Conference - The Mini-Conference provides students in the 8th through 12th grades with the opportunity to obtain information pertaining to college entrance, choosing a major course of study and obtaining financing for college. Various professionals and BDPA members participate in the conference to discuss the diverse career opportunities available and developing a youth's self-esteem. This event occurs in October during Computer Learning Month.

After School Programs - Sponsored by Conrail, the After School Programs teaches students computer literacy, computer programming, computer history and computer technology. The program is open to students in the 2nd through 12th grades.

Partnership in Achieving Careers in Technology (PACTS) - A joint effort between BDPA Philadelphia, several minority professional organizations and the Franklin Institute Science Museum. PACTS provides instructions in the Physical and Natural sciences to local high school students. BDPA members act as coordinators mentors to the students.

Speakers' Bureau - A list of people interested in providing workshops and seminars to our members.

Entrepreneurial Team - Provide programs to strengthen the development of the entrepreneurs within the chapter.

Student Chapter - To develop a BDPA chapter on local college campuses.

CNE/CNA Workshops - To develop workshops for members training for network certifications.

Student Internship Program - To aid our college and high school student members with job opportunities.
