    CS300Apogee Silicon Pyranometer

Te CS300 uses a silicon photovoltaic detector mount-ed in a cosine-corrected head to provide solar radia-tion measurements or solar, agricultural, meteorologi-cal, and hydrological applications. Calibrated againsta Kipp & Zonen CM21 thermopile pyranometer, theCS300 accurately measures sun plus sky radiation orthe spectral range o 300 to 1100 nm. Sensors cali-brated to this spectral range should not be used undervegetation or artifcial lights.

Te standard output is 0.2 mV per W m-2, which pro-vides a signal o 200 mV in ull sunlight (1000 W m-2).All o our dataloggers, including the CR200-series, canmeasure this output.

ConstructionTe dome-shaped head prevents water rom accu-mulating on the sensor head. o eliminate internalcondensation, the sensor head is potted solid and thecable is shielded with a rugged Santoprene casing.

Sensor MountsAccurate measurements require the sensor to beleveled using a 18356 leveling fxture. Tis levelingfxture incorporates a bubble level and three adjustingscrews. Te 18356 mounts to a tripod or tower usingthe CM225 mounting stand. For most applications,Campbell Scientifc recommends attaching the CM225to a CM202, CM204, or CM206 crossarm. Te CM225can also be attached to a tripod or tower mast.

CS300-L Silicon Pyranometer with user speciied cable length;enter the cable length ater the L. An 11-t length(CS300-L11) is recommended or a 3-m mounting height.Must choose a cable termination option (see below).

    Cable Termination Options (choose one)

-PT Cable terminates in stripped and tinned leads or directconnection to a dataloggers terminals.

-PW Cable terminates in connector or attachment to aprewired enclosure.
