We are not to be confused with the Pro-Life Movement. Theirs are secular, we are evangelical. Theirs are pragmatic, we rely on the providence of God. Theirs are man-driven, we are Gospel- driven. Theirs ask the church of God for support, we ask the church of God for justice. Theirs prefer gradual restriction of evil, we call for speedy repentance. Though we love those in the Pro- Life Movement, we adhere to a very different ideology. We also consider things like IVF and over-the-counter chemical abortions to be equally murderous and worthy of abolition. THE TEXAS COALITION OF ABOLITIONIST SOCIETIES

WHY WE WILL BE PRESENT IN BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION

THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 6TH

Howdy!

We are the Texas Coalition of Abolitionist Societies, an extension of the modern abolitionist movement organized as the International Coalition of Abolitionist Societies. We are abolitionists with regard to the legalized practice of human abortion; that is, we are those that advocate its total and immediate abolition.

The weekend of March 6th, 2015, we will be active in Bryan-College Station at multiple venues including First Friday in Historic Downtown Bryan and near the venue of the Texas A&M Men’s Basketball game against the University of Alabama. We will be engaging in conversation, distributing literature, holding signs, and making known the horror of abortion but also the glory of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

All of our activities will be within legal parameters of free speech and assembly, without infringement of private property but utilizing public property as a forum for the exchange of ideas. We [have contacted local law enforcement in confirmation of the legality of our methods and locations of presence- not confirmed, edit this] and intend to stay fully within the spectrum of what we have learned we are allowed to cary out.

In making known our presence, we also wish to make known our principles.

The modern abolitionist movement seeks the immediate and total abolition of the abominable practice of human abortion, which has, since its legalization in 1973, claimed the lives of 57 million helpless unborn human beings. We seek abolition not by carnal weapons, but weapons which are mighty through God to the tearing down of strongholds: prophetic criticism, calls to repentance, moral suasion, assistance, charity, prayer, and chiefly, the preaching of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who defeated death itself.

We are not to be confused with the Pro-Life Movement. Theirs are secular, we are evangelical. Theirs are pragmatic, we rely on the providence of God. Theirs are man-driven, we are Gospel-driven. Theirs ask the church of God for support, we ask the church of God for justice. Theirs prefer gradual restriction of evil, we call for speedy repentance. Though we love those in the Pro-Life Movement, we adhere to a very different ideology. We also consider things like IVF and over-the-counter chemical abortions to be equally murderous and worthy of abolition.

THE TEXAS COALITION OF ABOLITIONIST SOCIETIES

In this, we do not even consider abortion to be the focus of our cause. Abortion is the culmination of the corruption of this society, one that thrives on lust, fornication, love of money, pornography, and other things that lead to death. Abortion is the Goliath of modern evils and the perfect scheme of Satan. Therefore, we will lift the veil on this corrupt machine and save the children from the hands of death. In doing so, we will shine the light of the Gospel on the darkness of sin.

However, we consider indifference to abortion to be an issue of love for one’s neighbor and love for God. We call upon the Church to plead the cause of the fatherless and repent of a 42-year old abortion apathy. We believe it is our duty as Christians to be a living testament against the wickedness of the world today and speak on behalf of the aborted unborn. Moreover, we are driven to set others free because Christ set us free from sin in our own hearts.

For further understanding, our ideals are laid out in the Declaration of Sentiments of the International Coalition of Abolitionist Societies, and we are generally in agreement with most of what is expressed on AbolishHumanAbortion.com.

These are the principles that we will be promoting, and we will not be engaging in any forms of violence, physical aggression, or intimidation. Our efforts must and will be completely peaceful. We will be documenting our activities both for our own personal safety and accountability.

Our one group consists of members of the following groups:

Please contact any of the above for more information on anything at all discussed in this statement.

Our plea to the cities of Bryan and College Station:Seek the Lord and live, repent of any involvement in or indifference to the heinous crime of human abortion. Turn to the risen Lord Jesus and be washed clean. Become a city of refuge for abandoned children and mothers in need. Do not welcome an abortion clinic back into your bounds and hold back those who will travel elsewhere to have their child killed. Establish justice and lift your voice among cities in the denunciation of evil.

Our plea to all Christians in Bryan and College Station:Remember your Lord’s commands: love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Every baby murdered by abortion is your neighbor and bears the image of your God. Therefore end your apathy and stand up on their behalf. We welcome and encourage you to join us in our work during our time in town.

Our plea to the Pro-Life Community in Bryan and College Station:Please stop supporting incremental pro-life legislation that legitimizes the legality of most abortion in order to save a small minority of babies. These bills are the enemy of justice and only prolong abolition. Begin to fight abortion with the Gospel of God rather than with worldly wisdom. Take up immediate abolition as your cry and call. Feel free to meet us out where we are and discuss these things.

Our plea to the Pro-Choice Community in Bryan and College Station:Think about what you are saying and thinking. Every unborn human being whose destruction you justify is made in the image of the God of the universe, who will hold you accountable as an accomplice to child sacrifice. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Repent and believe the Gospel; though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be made white as snow.

Our plea to women seeking an abortion:There is most definitely another way and we will help you find it. Children are a blessing from the Lord, not a burden. There is a beautiful life inside your womb, and in plain terms, the decision you are about to make is murder. Whatever your situation, lay it at the feet of Christ; seek him, and he will not forsake you. The wage of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. For help, contact any of the societies listed above, visit HandOfHopeCommunity.org, or call (855)-310-HOPE.

Our plea to women who have had an abortion:What you have done is both murder and sin before the eternally holy living God. But as we can personally verify, there is hope and forgiveness in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ even for the worst of sinners. Confess your guilt before God, repent of your sin, and turn from the path that leads to death. Live for Christ and take up your cross daily; he will not turn you away. If you are also in need of help, please utilize any of the resources listed in the above paragraph.

We welcome all to come out and speak with us and encourage all Christian people of conscience to join us. Our efforts, as stated, will be completely non-violent, but with our lips and actions we can promise no peace with child sacrifice. We are happy to answer questions or engage in discussion both in person or through any of the listed points of contact. We are regular, everyday people like you who have been renewed by the spirit of God and now view the world in light of his providence. We are forgiven criminals set free by the great abolitionist of death, Jesus Christ.

We hope and pray that this endeavor is fruitful.

Thank you,Jace IshamAbolitionist Society of College Station
