Introduction

This document describes the routine hardware maintenance of the BBU3900. The maintenancetasks consist of power supply and grounding system maintenance, cabinet maintenance, and

 power-on and power-off operations. This document also describes the procedures for replacing

the components.

The maintenance items for the BBU3900 are fans, equipment surface, equipment cleanliness,

indicators, and ambient temperature.

3 Powering On/Off the BBU3900

This describes how to power on and power off the BBU3900. During power-on, you need tocheck the status of the LEDs on the BBU3900. The power-off procedure for an emergency is

different from power-off in a normal situation.

4 Replacing the Components in the OMB

This chapter describes how to replace the components in the Outdoor Mini Box (OMB), such

as the BBU, HEUA, AC/DC power equipment, DCDU-03B, and AC surge protection box.

5 Replacing Components of the BBU3900

This section describes how to replace components of the BBU, including BBU case, BBU boards

and modules, and optical modules.

6 Adding Components in the BBU3900

During the maintenance of the baseband unit (BBU), some boards may be added, such as a

universal power and environment interface unit (UPEU) or a WCDMA Baseband Process Unit

(WBBP).

7 Replacing SLPU Components

During the SLPU maintenance, the SLPU components, such as the SLPU case, UELP, and

UFLP, can be replaced as required

3 Powering On/Off the BBU3900

About This Chapter

This describes how to power on and power off the BBU3900. During power-on, you need to

check the status of the LEDs on the BBU3900. The power-off procedure for an emergency is

different from power-off in a normal situation.

3.1 Powering On the BBU

Before powering on the BBU, set the power switch on the BBU to ON and determine the

operational status of the BBU based on the status of the LEDs.

3.2 Powering Off the BBU

The BBU power-off is classified into normal power-off and emergency power-off.

3.1 Powering On the BBUBefore powering on the BBU, set the power switch on the BBU to ON and determine the

operational status of the BBU based on the status of the LEDs.

Prerequisite

l The hardware and cables of the BBU are installed.

l The voltage of the external input power ranges from -38.4 V DC to -57 V DC or +21.6 V

DC to +29 V DC.

Procedure

Step 1 Power on the BBU by setting its power switch to ON.

Step 2 Check the status of the three LEDs on the BBU panel, namely RUN, ALM, and ACT, and then proceed with the subsequent operations based on the status of the LEDs.

If... Then...

l The RUN LED is blinking (on for one

second and off for one second),

l The ALM LED is off for one second.

l The ACT LED is on.

The board is working normally. Go to Step

3.

l The RUN LED is on,

l The ALM LED is on,

l The ACT LED is off,

The board is not working properly. Rectify

the fault as follows:

l Verify that the power cable is securelyconnected.

l Reset the board.

l Remove the board and check whether 

there are damaged pins. If there are

damaged pins, replace the board. If there

is no damaged pin, reinstall the board.

Check the LEDs. If the status of the LEDs are

normal, go to Step 3. If the status of the LEDs

are not normal, contact Huawei Technical

Support.

 

Step 3 View the status of the other LEDs on the BBU panel.

Step 4 Take corresponding actions based on the LED status.

If... Then...

The BBU is working normally, The power-on operation is complete.

The BBU is faulty, Rectify the fault, and then go to Step 1.

3.2 Powering Off the BBU

The BBU power-off is classified into normal power-off and emergency power-off.

Procedure

Step 1 Choose normal power-off or emergency power-off based on the actual situation.

If... Then...

The BBU is powered off for routine

maintenance such as an equipment swap or a

foreseeable regional blackout,

Go to Step 2 to perform the normal power-

off.

The BBU encounters emergency conditions

such as incurs electric spark, smog, water immersion, and so on,

Go to Step 3 to perform the emergency

 power-off.

 

Step 2 To perform the normal power-off, do as follows:

1. Set the power switch of the BBU to OFF.

2. Set the MCB on the PDU that corresponds to the BBU to OFF.

3. Set the MCB on the external power device that corresponds to the BBU to OFF.

Step 3 Set the MCB on the external power device that corresponds to the BBU to OFF. If time allows,

set the power switch of the BBU to OFF , and then set the MCB on the PDU that corresponds

to the BBU to OFF.

4 Replacing the Components in the OMB

About This Chapter

This chapter describes how to replace the components in the Outdoor Mini Box (OMB), such

as the BBU, HEUA, AC/DC power equipment, DCDU-03B, and AC surge protection box.

4.1 Replacing the HEUA

The HEUA monitors the heat exchanger. The HEUA provides power to the FAN unit, monitors

the status of the FAN unit, and collects the alarm information about the cabinet and reports the

alarm to the main control unit.

4.2 Replacing the AC/DC Power Equipment

The AC/DC power equipment is used in an AC cabinet and converts external 220 V AC input power into -48 V DC power.

4.3 Replacing the DCDU-03B

The DCDU-03B distributes DC power to different components. Replacing the DCDU-03B

disrupts the power supply to the entire base station and all the services carried by the base station.

4.4 Replacing the AC Surge Protection Box

The AC surge protection box provides protection for the AC input power.

4.1 Replacing the HEUA

The HEUA monitors the heat exchanger. The HEUA provides power to the FAN unit, monitors

CAUTION

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or a pair of ESD

Step 2 Set the MCB labeled SW7 on the DCDU-03B to OFF to power off the HEUA.

Step 3 Record all the cable connections on the panel of the board to be replaced.

Step 4 Disconnect the power cable and monitoring cable from the HUEA, as shown in Figure 4-2.

Step 5 Unscrew the cover plate, and then unscrew the HEUA, as shown in Figure 4-3.

Step 6 Install the new board, tighten the screws on the board until the tightening torque reaches 0.55

 N·m, then install the cover plate, tighten the screws on the cover plate until the tightening torque

reaches 0.55 N·m, and then reconnect the cables.

Step 7 Take off the ESD wrist strap or gloves, and then pack up all the tools.

l Place the replaced component into an ESD box or bag. Then, place the ESD box or bag

into a carton padded with foam or into the original shipping box.

l Fill in the detail information of the faulty board being replaced in the fault form.

4.2 Replacing the AC/DC Power Equipment

The AC/DC power equipment is used in an AC cabinet and converts external 220 V AC input

 power into -48 V DC power.

Prerequisite

l The tools and materials, such as an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, M3 screwdriver, and

M6 screwdriver, are ready.

l The quantities and types of module to be replaced are confirmed, and the new modules are

ready.

l The authorized personnel are permitted to enter the site. The required keys are available.

Contextl The AC/DC power equipment consists of the Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Power 

Supply Unit (PSU), Power Monitoring Unit (PMU), and subrack. When a component of 

the AC/DC power equipment is faulty, you need to replace only the faulty component.

When the entire AC/DC power equipment is faulty, you must replace the AC/DC power 

equipment.

l Figure 4-4 shows the location of the AC/DC power equipment in the cabinet.

l Replacing the AC/DC power equipment, PSU, PDU, or subrack disrupts all the services

carried by the base station. Therefore, the components should be replaced in 20 minutes.

Procedure

Step 1 Power off the AC/DC power equipment.

NOTE

l If you have confirmed that the subrack is faulty and needs to be replaced, you must remove the

PDU, PSU, and PMU before removing the subrack from the cabinet.

l If you have confirmed that the entire AC/DC power equipment is faulty, you need to remove

only the AC/DC power equipment from the cabinet.

Step 6 If the PMU needs to be replaced, set the DIP switch on the new PMU according to the settings

of the DIP switch on the faulty PMU. If required, query the information about the DIP switch

 by referring to AC/DC Power Equipment.

Step 7 Install the new component.

1. Install the AC/DC power equipment or subrack, tighten the screws on the mounting ears

until the tightening torque reaches 2 N·m, and then install related cables.

2. Install the PDU, PSU, or PMU, tighten the screws on the panel until the tightening torque

reaches 0.55 N·m, and then install related cables.

Step 8 Check whether the AC/DC power equipment works properly according to the status of the LEDson the AC/DC power equipment, BBU, and RRU.

NOTE

For details about the status of the LEDs on the AC/DC power equipment, BBU, and RRU, see the

corresponding hardware description document.

Step 9 Power on the AC/DC power equipment.

Step 10 Take off the ESD wrist strap or gloves, and then pack up all the tools.

station. Therefore, the AC surge protection box should be replaced in 10 minutes.

5 Replacing Components of the BBU3900

About This Chapter

This section describes how to replace components of the BBU, including BBU case, BBU boards

and modules, and optical modules.

5.1 Query Electronic Label of the Board

Before replacing a board, you need to query the electronic label of the board at the remote end

to confirm the type of board to be replaced.

5.2 Replacing the BBU in the 19-Inch Cabinet

This section describes how to replace the BBU in a 19-inch cabinet, such as in an APM30 or 

TMC.

5.3 Replacing the WMPT

The WCDMA main processing & transmission unit (WMPT) processes signals and manages

resources on other boards.

5.4 Replacing the UPEU

The Universal Power and Environment Interface Unit (UPEU) is configured in the BBU and it

converts –48 V DC or +24 V DC power into +12 V DC.

5.5 Replacing the UEIU

The Universal Environment Interface Unit (UEIU) provides channels for transmitting the

monitoring signals from the service board to the BBU.

5.6 Replacing the FAN Unit

The FAN unit is located in the BBU. The FAN unit and the air inlet box form a ventilation loop,

which ensures ventilation and heat dissipation. Replacing the FAN unit may lead to

overtemperature alarms due to interruption of heat dissipation in the BBU. The services,

however, are not affected.

5.7 Replacing the UTRP

The Universal Transmission Processing unit (UTRP) in the BBU3900 provides ports for 

transmission.

5.8 Replacing the USCU

The Universal Satellite card and Clock Unit (USCU) in the BBU receives clock signals, such as

GPS, RGPS, BITS, and M-1PPS signals. In addition, it transmits or receives 1PPS+TOD clock signals.

5.9 Replacing the WBBP

The WCDMA Baseband Process Unit (WBBP) is configured in the BBU and it processes

 baseband signals.

5.10 Replacing the Optical Module

The optical module implements optical-electrical conversion, thus enabling optical transmission between the BBU and other devices.

5.1 Query Electronic Label of the Board

Before replacing a board, you need to query the electronic label of the board at the remote end

to confirm the type of board to be replaced.

1. Run the LST BRDINFO command on the LMT.

2. Confirm the type of board to be replaced according to the Boardtype and Description

fields in the queried result. Ensure that the new board is of the same type by checking the

information indicated by the bar code on the label of the panel or handle of the new board.

Figure 5-1 shows a label containing the bar code.

5.2 Replacing the BBU in the 19-Inch CabinetThis section describes how to replace the BBU in a 19-inch cabinet, such as in an APM30 or 

TMC.

Prerequisite

l The tools and materials, such as an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves and M6 screwdriver,

are ready.

l The type of BBU to be replaced and its quantity are confirmed, and the new BBU is ready.

l The authorized personnel are permitted to enter the site. The required keys are available.

Context

Replacing the BBU in a 19-inch cabinet disrupts all the services carried by the NodeB. Therefore,

the BBU should be replaced within 20 minutes.

Procedure

Step 1 Instruct the M2000 administrator to perform the following operations for the replacement of the

BBU:

1. Upload the configuration files of the base station on the FTP server of the M2000. For 

details, see the Base Station Commissioning Guide.

Step 2 Power off the BBU. For details, see 3.2 Powering Off the BBU.

l After confirming the type of a faulty board, do as follows:

–If the board can be queried online, run the associated command on the LMT to 5.1

Query Electronic Label of the Board.

– If the board is faulty and cannot be queried online, query the board information offline

on the M2000. For details, see Querying Inventory Data.

l Tools and materials, such as an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves and M3 screwdrivers, are

ready.

l Associated personnel have been permitted to access the site and obtained required keys.

Context

l Figure 5-3 shows the position of the WMPT in the BBU.

1. Upload the NodeB configuration file on the M2000 by using the file transfer protocol (FTP).

Step 4 Disconnect the transmission cable from the WMPT. If a surge protection board is configured,

the surge protection transfer cable also needs to be disconnected, as shown in Figure 5-4.

Step 5 Remove the two M3 screws on the panel, and then pull out the WMPT, as shown in Figure

5-5.

Step 6 Set the DIP switches on the new board according to the settings of the DIP switches on the faulty

 board. For details, see WMPT.

The Universal Power and Environment Interface Unit (UPEU) is configured in the BBU and it

converts –48 V DC or +24 V DC power into +12 V DC.

– If the board can be queried online, run the associated command on the LMT to 5.1

Query Electronic Label of the Board.

– If the board is faulty and cannot be queried online, query the board information offline

on the M2000. For details, see Querying Inventory Data.

l The tools and materials are ready, such as the ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves and M3

screwdriver.

l The associated personnel have been permitted to access the site and obtained the required

Procedure

Step 1 Instruct the M2000 administrator to perform the following operations before replacing the

UPEU:

1. On the NodeB, run the BLK LOCELL command to block all the cells working in UMTSmode.

CAUTION

Replacing the UPEU disrupts all the services carried by the base station if no standby UPEU is

configured.

Step 2 Power off the BBU. For details, see Powering Off the BBU3900.

Step 3 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.

WARNING

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, to

 prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or electronic components.

Step 4 Record all the cable connections on the panel of the module to the replaced.

Step 5 Disconnect the power cable, monitoring cable, and alarm cable from the UPEU, as shown in

Figure 5-7.

Step 12 Take off the ESD wrist strap or gloves, and then pack up all the tools.

overtemperature alarms due to interruption of heat dissipation in the BBU. The services,

however, are not affected.

Prerequisite

l After confirming the type of a faulty board, do as follows:

Procedure

Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or a pair of ESD gloves.

CAUTION

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, to

 prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or other electronic components.

Step 2 Prepare the optical module of the same type as the faulty optical module according to the label

on the module.

NOTE

The optical module to be replaced or to be installed must have a matching rate with the corresponding

CPRI port.

Step 3 Record the position of the faulty optical module on the board.

Step 4 Press the latch on the optical cable connector, and then remove the connector from the faulty

optical module, as shown in Figure 5-24.

WARNING

Do not look into the optical module without eye protection after the optical cable is removed

from the optical module.

 

Step 5 Turn the puller on the faulty optical module outwards, hold the puller and take the faulty optical

module out of the slot, and then remove the optical module from the BBU, as shown in Figure5-25.

Step 6 Install the new optical module onto the BBU.

Step 7 Remove the dustproof caps from the new optical module and optical connector, and then insert

the optical cable connector into the new optical module.

Step 8 Check whether the transmission is proper according to the status of the LEDs on the board. For 

details about the status of the LEDs on the board, see the related hardware description.

Step 9 Take off the ESD wrist strap or gloves, and then pack up all the tools.

Follow-up Procedure

l Put the replaced components into an ESD box or bag. Then, put the ESD box or bag into

a carton padded with foam or into the packing boxes of the new components.

l Fill in the fault form to record detailed information of the replaced components.

l Contact the local Huawei office to handle the faulty components.

6 Adding Components in the BBU3900

About This Chapter

During the maintenance of the baseband unit (BBU), some boards may be added, such as a

universal power and environment interface unit (UPEU) or a WCDMA Baseband Process Unit

(WBBP).

6.1 Adding a UPEU

The power of the baseband unit (BBU) may exceed the power supported by the universal power 

and environment interface unit (UPEU). Therefore, a UPEUc is required.

6.2 Adding a WBBP

This section describes how to install a WCDMA baseband processing unit (WBBP) when aWBBP is required.

6.1 Adding a UPEU

The power of the baseband unit (BBU) may exceed the power supported by the universal power 

and environment interface unit (UPEU). Therefore, a UPEUc is required.

NOTE

If the BBU is installed in an outdoor mini box (OMB) or indoor mini box (IMB03) with an AC power 

supply, the BBU cannot be equipped with two UPEUs.

6.1.1 Adding a UPEUc

If a universal power and environment interface unit (UPEU) is already installed in the baseband

unit (BBU), a UPEUc can be added.

Prerequisitel The tools and materials are ready, such as the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap or 

ESD gloves and M3 screwdriver.

l Associated personnel have obtained keys and site access permission.

Context

If the power of the BBU exceeds the power supported by the UPEU, a UPEUc must be added.

A UPEUa is already installed in slot 19 and the new UPEUc can be installed in slot 18, as shown

in Figure 6-1.

Procedure

Step 1 Wear the ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.

WARNING

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear the ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves,

to prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or electronic components.

Step 2 Install a UPEUc in slot 18 and tighten the screws on the panel to 0.6 N·m, as shown in Figure6-2.

Step 3 Install a power cable for the UPEUc. For details about the operation, see related installation

guide.

1. Link the 3V3 power connector at one end of the cable to the –48V port on the UPEUc, and

then tighten the screws on the connector to 0.25 N·m.

2. Link the other end of the cable to the power supply equipment onsite.

Step 4 Power on the BBU. For details, see Powering on the BBU3900.

Step 5 Check the status of the indicators to determine whether the new board works properly by referring

to UPEU.

Step 6 Perform the following operations on the Local Maintenance Terminal (LMT):

1. On the NodeB, run the ADD BRD command to configure the installed UPEUc.

2. On the eNodeB, run the ADD BRD command to configure the installed UPEUc.

3. On the BSC, run the ADD BTSBRD command to configure the installed UPEUc.

Step 7 Take off the ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, and pack up all the tools.

6.1.2 Adding a UPEUc to Replace the UEIU

If a universal power and environment interface unit (UPEU) and a universal environment

interface unit (UEIU) are installed in the BBU, you can replace the UEIU with a UPEUc.

Prerequisite

l The tools and materials are ready, such as the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap or 

ESD gloves and M3 screwdriver.

l Associated personnel have obtained keys and site access permission.

Context

A UPEUa is installed in slot 19 and the UEIU to be removed is installed in slot 18, as shown in

Figure 6-3.

Procedure

Step 1 Instruct the M2000 administrator to perform the following operations:

1. Run the LST ALMPORT command to record the configuration data for alarms on the

 board.

2. Run the RMV BRD command to remove the UEIU.

Step 2 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.

WARNING

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, to

 prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or electronic components.

Step 3 Record all the cable connections on the panel of the module to the replaced.

Step 4 Disconnect the monitoring cable and alarm cable from the UEIU, as shown in Figure 6-4.

Step 5 Remove the two M3 screws on the panel, and then pull out the UEIU, as shown in Figure 6-5.

6.1.3 Adding two UPEUc Boards to Replace the UEIU and UPEUa

If a universal power and environment interface unit (UPEUa) and a universal environment

interface unit (UEIU) are installed in the baseband unit (BBU), you can replace the UPEUa andUEIU with two UPEUc boards.

Procedure

Step 1 Check whether the alarm cables are connected to the EXT_ALM ports on the UEIU and the

UPEUa. If alarm cables are not connected to the ports, go to step 3. If alarm cables are connected

to the ports, go to step 2.

Step 2 Instruct the M2000 administrator to perform the following operations:

1. Run the LST ALMPORT command to record the alarm configuration data on the UEIUand the UPEUa.

2. Run the RMV BRD command to remove the UEIU and the UPEUa.

Step 3 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.

Context

The UPEUa boards to be removed are installed in slot 18 and slot 19, as shown in Figure

6-14.

Procedure

Step 1 Check whether alarm cables are connected to the EXT_ALM ports on the UPEUa boards. If 

alarm cables are not connected to the ports, go to step 2. If alarm cables are connected to the

6.2 Adding a WBBP

This section describes how to install a WCDMA baseband processing unit (WBBP) when a

WBBP is required.

l Associated personnel have obtained keys and site access permission.

Context

If a WBBP is added, the power of the BBU may exceed the power supported by the universal

 power and environment interface unit (UPEU). Therefore, a UPEUc is requir ed. For details about

how to install a UPEUc before installing the WBBP, see 6.1 Adding a UPEU. In some hot areas,

if another UPEU is installed in the BBU in an outdoor AC cabinet, the FAN unit in the BBU

must be replaced with a FANc unit that operates at a high speed. For details about how to replace

a FAN unit, see 5.6 Replacing the FAN Unit.

NOTE

A hot area refers to an area where the daily maximum temperature is higher than 45°C for more than 10

days in a year.

Procedure

7 Replacing SLPU Components

About This Chapter

During the SLPU maintenance, the SLPU components, such as the SLPU case, UELP, and

UFLP, can be replaced as required

7.1 Replacing the SLPU

The Signal Lightning Protection Unit (SLPU) provides surge protection for a base station.

7.2 Replacing the UELP

Each Universal E1/T1 Lightning Protection unit (UELP) provides protection for four E1s/T1s.

7.3 Replacing the UFLPThe universal FE lightning protection unit (UFLP) provides surge protection for base stations.

7.1 Replacing the SLPUThe Signal Lightning Protection Unit (SLPU) provides surge protection for a base station.

Prerequisite

l Tools and materials, such as an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves and screwdrivers, are ready.

l The type of board to be replaced and its quantity are confirmed, and the new case is ready.

l Associated personnel have been permitted to access the site and obtained required keys.

Context

l Figure 7-1 shows the position of the SLPU in a cabinet.

Procedure

Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.

WARNING

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, to

 prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or electronic components.

Step 2 Record all the cable connections on the panel of the module to the replaced.

Step 3 Remove the transmission cables of the boards in the SLPU case.

Step 4 Remove the four M6 screws on the panel, and then pull out the SLPU case, as shown in Figure

7-2.

Step 5 Remove all the boards in the faulty SLPU case, install them in the corresponding slots of the

new BBU case, and then install filler panels in the idle slots.

Step 6 Install the new case, tighten the screws on the case until the tightening torque reaches 2 N·m,and then reconnect the cables.

Step 7 Perform the following operations on the local maintenance terminal (LMT):

1. On the UMTS side, check whether any alarm is reported on the NodeB LMT. For details,

see Browsing Alarms. If an alarm is reported, clear the alarm by referring to Querying

Alarm Handling Suggestions.

Step 8 Perform following operations on the M2000:

1. Synchronize the inventory information manually. For details, see Synchronizing Inventory

Data.

Step 9 Take off the ESD wrist strap or gloves, and then pack up all the tools.

Follow-up Procedure

l Place the replaced component into the ESD box or bag. Then, place the ESD box or bag

into a carton padded with foam or into the packing box of the new component.

l Fill in the fault f orm to record detailed information of the replaced components.

l Contact the local Huawei office to handle the faulty component.

7.2 Replacing the UELPEach Universal E1/T1 Lightning Protection unit (UELP) provides protection for four E1s/T1s.

Prerequisite

l After confirming the type of a faulty board, do as follows:

– If the board can be queried online, run the associated command on the LMT to 5.1

Query Electronic Label of the Board.

– If the board is faulty and cannot be queried online, query the board information offline

on the M2000. For details, see Querying Inventory Data.

l The tools and materials are ready, such as the ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves and M3

screwdriver.

l Associated personnel have been permitted to access the site and obtained required keys.

l Figure 7-3 shows the position of the UELP in the SLPU.

l The board is hot-swappable.

Procedure

Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.

CAUTION

Take proper ESD protection measures, for example, wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves, to

 prevent electrostatic damage to the boards, modules, or electronic components.

Step 2 Record all the cable connections on the panel of the module to the replaced.

Step 3 Disconnect the transmission cables from the UELP, as shown in Figure 7-4.

Step 4 Remove the two M3 screws on the panel, and then pull out the UELP, as shown in Figure 7-5.

Step 5 Set the DIP switches on the new board according to the settings of the DIP switches on the faulty

 board. If required, query the information about the DIP switch by referring to UELP.

Step 6 Install the new board, tighten the screws on the board until the tightening torque reaches 0.6

 N·m, and then reconnect the cables.

Step 7 Perform the following operations on the local maintenance terminal (LMT):

1. On the UMTS side, check whether any alarm is reported on the NodeB LMT. For details,

see Browsing Alarms. If an alarm is reported, clear the alarm by referring to QueryingAlarm Handling Suggestions.
