The Basque Country is located in the North of Spain, the home of among the world’s finest food, beaches in natural settings, avant-garde archi-tecture... This area in northern Spain is the ideal place for an all-round visit. If you go to the Basque country you abso-lutely have to try the famous “pintxos”: miniature morsels of “haute cuisine” which you’ll see displayed in all their glory on the counters of numerous bars. You’ll also find several restaurants run

by some of the standard-bearers of the new Spanish cuisine. And if you’d like something delicious to drink, try any of the wines from the Rioja Alavesa or Txakoli regions.The Basque Country has beautiful coastal destinations like San Se-bastián, Zarautz, Getaria, Lekeitio, Hondarribia as well as inland cities such as Vitoria and Bilbao. This last location is home to such innovative buildings as its Guggenheim Museum, which has re-

ceived international acclaim. Don’t miss it, or the spectacular Vizcaya suspen-sion bridge, with the UNESCO World Heritage designation. Bilbao and we will head towards the French Basque Country. We will visit Biarritz with a panoramic and walking part. Later we will stop for a visit at another coastal village full of charm, Saint Jean de Luz. We arrive to Hendaie, border with Spain, to take a boat and cross the border through a natural pre-served bay. Lunch time at charming fisher-men quarter of Hondarribia village. Later we arrive to San Sebastian for a city tour with a panoramic and a walking part in the old town. Return to Bilbao. Lodging at the hotel.

• Related to the prices of the Tours:The prices are per person and include charges for planning and operating the tour. Moreover, prices are based on applicable currency exchange rates as of July 01, 2015 and any possible changes on this matter will be subject to apply to the clients according to the terms and actual general conditions of this brochure.

• Prices do not includeAnything not detailed into the list “The Program includes” of each program.

• Reservations & depositA deposit of minimum 20% of the tour price is required when booking your reservations. This percentage will increase the closer we are to the departure date. And the final payment is due minimum 30 days prior to departure. The Tour Operator will not deliver any tour documents until total payment is received.

• Escorted motor- coach toursAlthough shown in our itineraries as a single unit of sale, they are the result of combining different components for the convenience of our clients. This means that in some tours you might not have the same guide, bus and companions during the entire itinerary. Transportation is provided by deluxe motor-coach or other conveyance when

required. Tours are provided in English, but depending on the case, a professional multilingual tour director will accompany tours while travelling by motor-coach. In the unusual event that a group numbers less than 15 persons, the Tour Operator reserves the right to operate the tour in minibus or private car with a bilingual driver. Local visits to monumental cities are explained by an official local guide.

• Minimum of participantsFor the programs included into this brochure, it is required a minimum of participants. This number will be variable according to the specific program and if for any reason this minimum number is not reached, the agency will be able to cancel the confirmed services and contract according to the actual terms informing the final client 30 days in advance to the departure date. With the consequent reimbursement of the possible paid deposits by the client.

• Tour accommodationsHotels are classified by the under the Tourism laws and rules of Spain. Prices are based on Double/twin bedded rooms with private baths. The Tour Operator cannot be held responsible for hotel over-bookings; should this occur, the Tour Operator will undertake to find similar accommodations in the same or nearby area. If a change becomes

necessary for any reason the Tour Operator reserves the right to substitute hotels of similar category. On occasions it may be necessary to substitute a hotel of a lower category, should this occur, an appropriate refund will be made. Single rooms may occasionally be less comfortable than twins. The Tour Operator will make every effort to provide single rooms but we cannot guarantee. If a single room is not provided where requested, we will refund the supplemental charge.

• Claims & demandsAccording to the text provided by the local authorities 1/2007 (BOE 30 November 2007) it is informed to the client the obligation to notify at the very same moment in writing or any other form in which it will be recorded, to the Organizer or to the Travel Agency, all proven breach or deficiencies in the execution of the contract. The agency declares that it acts only as an intermediary in between passengers and entities or persons called to provide the services that are stated in the given documentation, for example; transport companies, hotels, restaurants, etc. Moreover, the general conditions of this brochure are available to the clients, which they know and have signed. The actions derived from the recognized rights of the text 1/2007 related to the Packaged Tours, will prescribe in two years.

• BaggageBaggage space for transportation in our Tours includes one normal size suitcase per person. Ask in advance, in case of other requirements. Luggage and personal effects are travelling “At owners risk” unless insured.

• Cancellations, changes and refundsThe Tour Operator reserves the right to cancel any Tour prior to departure for any reason including insufficient number of participants. In the event of such cancellation of a Tour, for which you have received confirmation, you will receive full refund of monies paid. If the Clients cancel their reservations, the Tour Operator will reimburse the total amount of deposit after the cancellation fees have been deducted according to the following:

• Between 60 and 30 days prior to departure - 10% of the Tour



Less than 48 hours - 80% of the Tour

Departure Day or no show - 100% of the Tour

No refunds will be made for unused land services. The Tour Operator has the right to withdraw your membership at any time if your actions impose upon or disturb the other members of the Tour.

• Passport and visasIt is suggested that all passengers, regardless of the passport they hold, check with the appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are required. The possession of required and valid documents is the sole responsibility of the traveller. The Tour Operator assumes no liability for lack of proper documents.

• Travel insuranceWe strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance in the event you have to cancel or discontinue your trip.

• Tour Operator’s responsibilityAll tours and land services described in this brochure are handled and operated by SERVICIOS TURISTICOS INTERNOS S.A., Calle Zabalea 29, 48960 Galdakao (Spain). The suppliers providing transportation, sightseeing arrangements and hotel accommodations for the Tour Programs are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of the Local Tour Operator. All vouchers and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. You agree that neither the Local Operator or any representative shall be liable for any accident, loss, injury and/or damage to you or those travelling with you directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond its control including defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, theft, delay and cancellation of/or changes in itinerary, etc. In case of accident during land transportation, passenger claims are subject to the local country law, indemnification, if any, shall be paid to the passengers or their representatives in the local currency of the country. Remember that all travel documents, as well as compliance with customs regulations, are your responsibility.

• Contract for packaged ToursOnce all the payments are completed, the contract for the packaged tour will be available if required in order to fill it in and close formally the agreement according to the general conditions.

• Important notesBy this purchase the Passenger and/or Purchaser acknowledges and accepts the fore going conditions and regulations.

1 Participants must have travelled to The Basque Country or Spain in a packaged organized tour and select a picture from this trip including any touristic element related to the tourism world like for example; Monuments, Activities, Visits, etc….that represent the best possible, the diversity and singularity of the destination.

2 Taking part into this contest is totally free of charge.

3 The pictures will relate to the following themes:

1- Gastronomy & Wines

2-Tourist Monuments

3- Cities, Villages & Cultures

4- Best selected Views & Panoramic shots.

The theme must be focused into the travelling world: landscapes, people, cities, monuments, nature, original pictures, “fiestas”, etc. To summarize, anything that is worth capturing with a photo-graphic camera while we are on vacations.

4 It will be possible to present a maximum of 10 pictures per author. The pictures will be delivered in digital format. They must not have been published before in any media, web page or similar format, nor awarded with any price or by other contest. They cannot in-corporate elements produced by other persons. No third party must have licenses or rights on the presented images for the con-test. It is allowed to present images that have been published in social networks.

5 Technical requirements for the presented pictures:

• The digital weight of each picture must be between 1Mb & 4 Mb in JPG format with a recommended resolution of 300ppp.

• The dimensions of the pictures must not pass 5.000px wide x 4.000px height.

• Light editing touches will be admitted like tone, contrast, etc.. but no photomontages that include new elements will be ad-mitted. HDR touches and panoramic pictures will be admitted.

• The labeling of each picture must include the name of the tour-istic element, place or details that explain properly the image in addition to the name of the participant and title of the picture.

6 The dead line to receive the images will be the 31st of March 2016.Send to: [email protected].

7 The presented pictures could be reproduced by the Contest or-ganizer in Catalogues, Posters, Leaflets, and Tourism Brochures and for promotions of the Contest or the Destination.

8 The result of the contest will be announced during the month of April 2016.Just by participating into this contest, the authors recognize that they are the owners of the copyrights of the presented images. The Organizer of the contest disclaims any conflict that might occur for publishing the pictures.

9 The Jury that will be formed by Experts in Tourism about the

Basque Country & Spain, will decide freely based in the beauty of the picture, content and technical perfection the best 4 pictures that will be awarded the awards.

AWARDSThe awards will be a total of 4 according

to the following details:

1st AWARD: A 4D/3N Package for 2 persons, including the stay in Bilbao at a quality 4* Hotel with Buffet breakfast plus inclusion of 2 quali-ty Excursions to discover the Best Views of the Basque Country. (Booking period for this award valid from April 2016 until March 2017. This booking condition applies as well for the rest of the Awards)

2nd AWARD: Discount of 20% in any program or package confirmed with the organizer: S.T.I.
