andhazardswhileservicing. Twotypesofsafetysymbols,WarningandCaution,areusedinthesafetyinstructions.

WARNINGHazards or unsafe practices that may result in severe personal injury or death.

CAuTIONHazards or unsafe practices that may result in minor personal injury or property damage.

BEFORE SERvICING

• (Whenservicingelectricalpartsorharnesses)Makesuretodisconnectthepowerplugbeforeservicing.√ Failingtodosomayresultinariskofelectricshock.

• Donotallowconsumerstoconnectseveralappliancestoasinglepoweroutletatthesame time.√ Thereisariskoffireduetooverheating.

• Whenremovingthepowercord,makesuretoholdthepowerplugwhenpullingtheplugfromtheoutlet.√ Failingtodosomaydamagetheplugandresultinfireorelectricshock.

• Whenthewashingmachineisnotbeingused,makesuretodisconnectthepowerplugfromthepoweroutlet.√ Failingtodosomayresultinelectricshockorfireduetolightning.

• Donotplaceorusegasoline,thinners,alcohol,orotherflammableorexplosivesubstancesnearthewashingmachine.√ Thereisariskofexplosionandfirecausedfromelectricsparks.

• Donotsprinklewaterontothewashingmachinedirectlywhencleaningit.√ Thismayresultinelectricshockorfire,andmayshortentheproductlifetime.

• Donotplaceanycontainerswithwateronthewashingmachine.√ Ifthewaterisspilled,itmayresultinelectricshockorfire.Thiswillalsoshortenthe

productlifetime.

• Donotinstallthewashingmachineinalocationexposedtosnoworrain.√ Thismayresultinelectricshockorfire,andshortentheproductlifetime.

• Donotpressacontrolbuttonusingasharptoolorobject.√ Thismayresultinelectricshockordamagetotheproduct.

WHILE SERvICING

• Whenwiringaharness,makesuretosealitcompletelysonoliquidcanenter.√ Makesurethattheydonotbreakwhenforceisexerted.

• Checkifthereisanyresiduethatshowsthatliquidenteredtheelectricpartsorharnesses.√ Ifanyliquidhasenteredintoapart,replaceitorcompletelyremoveanyremainingmoisturefromit.

• Ifyouneedtoplacethewashingmachineonitsbackforservicingpurposes,placeasupport(s)onthefloorandlayitdowncarefullysoitssideisonthefloor.√ Donotlayitdownonitsfront.Thismayresultintheinsidetubpartsdamaging.

WHILE SERvICING

• Checkifthepowerplugandoutletaredamaged,flattened,cutorotherwisedegraded.√ Iffaulty,replaceitimmediately.

Failingtodosomayresultinelectricshockorfire.

• Completelyremoveanydustorforeignmaterialfromthehousing,wiringandconnectionparts.√ Thiswillpreventariskoffireduetotrackingandelectricalhazard.

• Whenconnectingwires,makesuretoconnectthemusingtherelevantconnectorsandcheckthattheyarecompletelyproperly.√ Iftapeisusedinsteadoftheconnectors,itmaycausefireduetotracking.

• MakesuretodischargethePBApowerterminalsbeforestartingtheservice.√ Failingtodosomayresultinahighvoltageelectricshock.

• Whenreplacingtheheater,makesuretofastenthenutafterensuringthatitisinsertedintothebracket-heater.√ Ifnotinsertedintothebracket-heater,ittouchesthedrumandcausesnoiseandelectricleakage.

AFTER SERvICING

• Checkthewiring.√ Ensurethatnowiretouchesarotatingpartorasharpenedpartoftheelectricalharness.

• Checkforanywaterleakage.√ Performatestrunforthewashingmachinecourseandcheckwhetherthereisanywaterleakagethroughthe

floorsectionorthepipes.

• Donotallowconsumerstorepairorserviceanypartofthewashingmachinethemselves.√ Thismayresultinpersonalinjuryandshortentheproductlifetime.

• Ifitseemsthatgroundingisneededduetowaterormoisture,makesuretorungroundingwires. (Checkthegroundingofthepoweroutlet,andadditionallygroundittoametallicwaterpipe.)√ Failingtodosomayresultinelectricshockduetoelectricleakage.

[Runningagroundingwire]- Twistagroundingwire(copperwire)twoorthreetimesaroundthetap.- Ifyouconnectthegroundingwiretoacopperplate,buryit75cmundertheearthina

placewithalotofmoisture. Donotconnectthegroundingwiretoagaspipe,plasticwaterpipeortelephonewire.Thereisariskofelectricshockorexplosion.

AFTER SERvICING

• Checktheassembledstatusoftheparts.√ Nowisagoodtimetoinspectyourwork.Reviewallconnectionsandwiring,includingmountinghardware.

• Checktheinsulationresistance.√ Disconnectthepowercordfromthepoweroutletandmeasuretheinsulationresistancebetweenthepowerplug

andthegroundingwireofthewashingmachine.Thevaluemustbegreaterthan10MΩwhenmeasuredwitha500V DC Megger.

• Checkwhetherthewashingmachineislevelthefloorwithrespecttotheoriginalpositionofthewashingmachinepriortoservice. Bydoingthisnowwillreducefortheneedofcustomerdissatisfactionandredocall.√ Vibrationscanshortenthelifetimeoftheproduct.

1. Removethe2screwsholdingtheBack-CoveratthebackofthewashingmachineandseparatetheBack-Coverpushingitdownwards. (Assembleitbyliftingitupwards)

2. AfterseparatingtheBack-Cover,removetheM19nutholdingtheMotor.

Toremoveit,turnitcounter-clockwise.AstheMotoralsorotatesifthenutisturnedslowly,torqueitquicklyandfirmlyinasingleaction. DonotremovethenutbyinsertingascrewdriverintotheMotor,asthismayresultinaproblemwiththemotor.

3. RemovetheM19nutandwasherandthenseparatetheRotor.
