GENEX Assistant 3.5

1. How to make a New Project… (step 1)

Click on New Project (Ctrl+N)

OR


(step 2)

Insert your project name

Browse your target location

to save

Check your binning

Then…click “OK”


2. How to load the logfiles…(step 1)

Click on Logfile Manager (Ctrl+F)


(step 2)

Click “Add Logfile…” and browse

your location for target logfiles


(step 3)

choose all your target logfiles and

click “Open”


(step 4)

wait until all the logfiles loaded

and click “OK”


3. How to group your test cases… (step 1)

Click on Analysis Group Manager (Ctrl+G)

click “Add”


(step 3)

step 1: insert the name of your test cases

step 2: select the test cases you want to grouping

step 3: click the arrow button in the middle and your selected test cases will move to the right

step 4: click “OK”

Note: In this cases, the Group Name is “2G UL” and the test cases for 2G UL is from MS1

based on the logfiles name [Q3_C4_SC02_2G_L4_MS1_UL_MS2_IDLE_SCANNER].

That’s why MS1 was moved to the right

all the test cases you grouped will show here


4. How to “Run” the logfiles…(step 1)

right click on “Analysis Group”, and click on “Run Analysis”


(step 2)

Click “OK”


(step 3)

wait until all the logfiles

finish to analyze

this “KPI Result” table will appear once your

logfiles have been finish to analyze


5. How to load the map… (step 1)

click on “View Map”


(step 2)

click on “Layer Control” symbol


(step 3)

Click “Add” and browse the location

of your map (.tab) files


(step 4)

then click “OK”


6. How to show the plotting…(step 1 - 4)

step 1: go to “Project” sidebar and select your grouped test cases

step 2: make sure your test cases is correct before you choose the plotting value

step 3: expand the features in the group

7. How to see the legend…(step 1)

click on “Enable/disable Legend” symbol

then click “OK”

Select “Legend With Count And Percent”

The legend will show like this


8. How to modify the legend… (step 1)

Expand the “Data Layer” checkbox

click on “Map Layers” at the right side

of your GENEX Assistant

Right click on the target legend

that you want to modify

Choose and click “Modify Legend”

9. How to load Engineering Parameter… (step 1)

go to “Engineering Parameter” toolbar and choose which parameter

you want to load (GSM/WCDMA/LTE) depending on your project

click on the GSM/WCDMA/LTE and click on “View Engineering Parameter”


(step 3)

click on “Import BTS Config file” symbol


(step 4)

then click “OK”

Browse your Engineering Parameter (.csv) file


(step 5)

Make sure all the column name is synchronize

Then, click on “Apply the BTS Config” symbol

Then, click “No”

wait until your Engineering Parameter loaded and

the below message box will appear once the process

is finish.


10. How to edit Cell Label… (step 1)

right click on the map and click

on “Edit Cell Label”


(step 2)

choose the value for

“DataSet:” and “Field” you

need to view.

then , click “OK”


11. How to copy the map… (step 1)

click on this symbol to copy the current map

and paste on your document


12. How to region the target analysis…(step 1)

click on “Add Region” symbol


(step 2)

draw the border for your region and double click at the end of the border you draw


(step 3)

click on “Save Region” symbol


(step 4)

put the name for the region

then , click “OK”


(step 5)

go to “Project” sidebar, right click on “Query” and

click on “New Query” to create a query for region

Put the name for the query

Thick on the selected

region to use in the query

and click “Next”

step 1: expand the features in “Available IE” box to

select the value you need to use in the region

step 2: select the value you need

step 3: click the arrow button in the middle and your

selected value will move to the right

step 4: click “OK”3

Note: In this cases, the value selected is “ServCellID”, “RxLev Sub” and “RxLev Qual” only


(step 8)

Expand the “Query” and you can see the value

added to the region (only “ServCellID”, “RxLev

Sub” and “RxQual Sub” is shown). Only the plot

and value inside the region will be shown. All

plotting and value outside the region will be

excluded/dissappear.
