BDT kuramlarını kullanarak belirli vakalar için davranışsal analiz formüle edebilir. ÖÇ3. BDT oturumlarını yapılandırabilir. ÖÇ4. Belirli BDT yöntem ve tekniklerini uygulayabilir (örn. Öğretim Yöntemi ve Teknikleri

Ders etkileşimli anlatım ve öğrencilerin sorumlu oldukları malzeme üzerinden yapılan tartışmalarla yürütülmektedir. Bu amaçla derste; (a) görsel materyallerle desteklenmiş düz anlatım yöntemi ve (b) ders içi tartışmalar kullanılmaktadır. Öğrencilerin hazırladığı haftalık değerlendirme yazılarının sınıfta tartışılması beklenmektedir. Ders süresince BDT hakkında destekleyici ve eğitici videolar da kullanılmaktadır.

Course Learning Outcomes

After taking this course the students will be able to; LO1. Become acquainted with the historical roots, the research and assessment methods and techniques of CBTs. LO2. Formulate a cognitive/behavioral analysis using behavioral and cognitive theoretical models from specific cases. LO3. Structure a CBT session. LO4. Apply several specific methods and techniques of CBT (e.g, behavioral records, reinforcement procedures, exposure methods, relaxation training). LO5. Evaluate the effectiveness of CBT methods and techniques.

Mode of Delivery The style of teaching includes face-to-face interaction.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course is conducted through discussions on the material presented in class and over the compulsory reading material. With this aim in mind, (a) regular lectures supported by visual presentations and (b) class discussions are used. Students are expected to write weekly reaction papers which will be discussed in the classroom. Supportive educational videos on CBT related issues will also be used through the course.

Görüşme sırasında vakanın sözel olmayan mesajlarını saptayabilirler ÖÇ4. Vaka için uygulanması gerekebilecek ölçümleri belirleyebilirler ÖÇ5. Söz konusu ölçümlerin uygulaması ve değerlendirmesini gerçekleştirebilirler. ÖÇ6. Vaka için görüşmeden ve ölçme araçlarından elde ettikleri verilerle bir vaka formülasyonu yapıp, tedavi planı oluşturabilirler ÖÇ7. Oluşturdukları vaka formülasyonunu ve tedavi planını vaka ile paylaşabilir ve tedavi için onun işbirliğini sağlayabilirler ÖÇ8. Vakaya her seansta verecekleri ev ödevlerini doğru seçebilir ve takibini yapabilirler; seansların sonunda seansları yazılı olarak özetleyebilir, kayıtlarını tutabilirler ÖÇ9. Ders grup süpervizyonu şeklinde yürütülmektedir. Öğrenciler kendi kişisel vakalarını bulduktan sonra ilk görüşmelerine aynı hafta içinde başlarlar. Her görüşme, vakanın da onayına bağlı olarak, videoya ya da odiyoteybe çekilir. Tutulan bu kayıtlardan her seansın birebir deşifresi, yazılı olarak derse getirilir. Derste bir öğrenci kendi seansının deşifresini okur ve süpervizyon alır. O sırada diğer tüm öğrenciler de kendi vakalarıyla aynı seans sayısında olduklarından onlar da kendi vakaları için süpervizyon almış olurlar. Eğer gruptaki herhangi bir öğrencinin vakasında, o derste üzerinde durulan konulardan farklı bir yaşantı olmuşsa, o konunun da üzerinden geçilir ve o öğrencinin de süpervizyon ihtiyacı karşılanmış olur. Bir sonraki derste ise bir başka öğrencinin vakasının o haftaki seans deşifresi üzerinden geçilir. Böylelikle her öğrencinin en az bir seansının deşifresi üzerinden kişisel olarak geçilmiş olur.

LO1. have a chance to apply the theoretical psychotherapy skills they learned with one client LO2. Can do a psychotherapeutic intake interview LO3. can pick up the nonverbal messages of the client LO4. can specify the assessment procedures needed fort his case LO5. can apply these procedures and interpret them LO6. can make a case formulation and make a treatment plan LO7. can share this case formulation with the client and convince him or her for collaboration LO8. can make good choices for the homework they will give the client and follow the given homework: They can summarize the sessions at the end and keep functional records LO9. can form a good therapeutic relationship with the client LO10. can be mindful of their own bodily, emotional and cognitive responses and can regulate them LO11. can get the necessary feedback from the client and monitor the therapy all through the sessions LO12. can monitor the session duration, the number of sessions necessary and can end the therapy in an appropriate way

Mode of Delivery The style of teaching is face to face interaction.

Prerequisites and Co-requisites

This course can not be taken before the 2nd year of the graduate program and before the students take all the theoretical courses given in the first year.


Course Contents Applied form of a chosen form of psychotherapy



The course is conducted in group supervision format. After the students specify the clients they will be working with, they conduct their first session on the same week. Each session is audiotaped after the clients informed consent is received. From these audio-recordings each session is decoded and a written record is produced and presented to the supervisor. During each course one session of one student is reviewed and supervised. The feedbacks the student will receive for that session will also be relevant for the other students who have completed equivalent sessions. In case any student needs extra supervision, the supervisor will attend to that also. In the next course the next session of another student will be supervised. This way each student will get a chance to have at least one of their sessions personally supervised.
