    D e a r F r i e n d s i d th e L o r d :

Greetings in the name of our Lord MayHislove and grace be with you. Thanks to Himweare all fine and happy, evendioughour summerwasone that kept us on the gofor a total of 10weeks. Duringthis time we werevery, very bu^.

Wewere a w ^ from Eagle Pass from May the 29th until August t he 8 th . This was a considerable amount of time to be onthe road, but this iswhat the Lord had in mindfor our sununer. Our first stop for the summerwas Scottsbluff, Nebraska, where

we left Billyand his Grandmother together for a week. Our first ei^agement for the summer wasa week of VBS in Cozad,Nebraska. Thiswasan inspirational weekfor us. Cozadgreeted us with warm Christiaii fellowship and this fellowship continuedwith uswherever we went during the summer.

The schedulewhich we sent out in M ^ wasamendedduringthe summer. To giveyou a brief run down asto the stopsviiich we made, we are providing the following schedule:

BiBy seemed to win th e hearts of allwh o heard hi m sing during th e summer.

While in Nebraska we filled out threeanda half weeks which were orfyionally open. This saved usa trip backto Eagle Passduringthe middle of the summer. During two of the weeks which were openduringthe summer. Bill workedat Midwest FarmService Inc., Gering Nebraska. This was the firm with which Bill worked during the time he was going to college. The additioiialincome was very much appredated.

The summer tumed out to be one of the richest blessingsfor us. The Lord had it all plaimed out for us eventhough weorigionally did not haveallof Hisplan in mind. The first blesang was beingable to fillout the entire summerwith camps, VBS'sand diurch programs. Another great blessing waswhen Billreceived a new printing pressto be usedat Colegio Biblico. BrotherPeary Rader of Alliance, Nebraska gifted the Collegewith a large r n 'printing press. Boy you should have seen Bill's face. It was just rlike someonehad given him a million dollars. Whata joy it isto have

suchwonderful Christianfellowworkers Wedo thankMr.and ^ - =Mrs.Rader for this giftand mayGodrichly blessthem becauseof 5 aUjthis gift. Another blessingcame when friends of ours from Scottsbluff,Brent and Carol Adamson, ^reed to ddiver the printing press to ,EaglePass. That was a great lift of f our shoulders. We truely thank ^ them and we really enjoyed having them visit ushere. We wish that '* >more of you could come see us too During the BipLinguaLC9nvention^\ >1in February would be an excellent time to visit February 24-26th. J

Augustwasa bu^ monthin EaglePass. Oneof the many eventswas our 5 anniversary. We have hada wonderfulfive

years together andhope that the Lord allowsus many moreas well. The MexicanNationalYouth Conventionwas hdd in Rosita,Coahuila,Mexicoon Aug. 12-14th. Althoughthiswasonty 80 miles from EaglePasswedecided not to attend becauseof theamountof time we had availablein Eagle Passtoget thingsreadyprior to theboomingof school. The attendanceat theconventionwas highand it startedoutto be agreat timeoffellowdiipand inspiration. It endedintr^edy however,in that

duringapicnicon^e last dayoftheconvention. Pleaseprayforhis familyin thafoi^TusmotherwasChristianandthis could cause the family someproblems.

On Ai^st the 15th,MarkNorthrupgot married Yes, you read right Markgot married. We sawhimin Eagle Passatthe firstof Septemberand he seemsto bea very happymarried man. Pray forthis young marriedChristian couple.

Schoolhasstartedand we arenowin the full swingof things here. Theattendance islowfor this school year. We askallofyou to pray thatthe attendancewill show an increaseduringthe second semister.Thisyear thestudentshadalotof problemsin gettii^ their paperworkrequired for leavingMexicoand enteringthe US.

We are now workingon the houseon campus whichwe willbe movinginto soon. Thisprojecthas been taking muchofBill s time. We hope to be init by the end ofSeptemberorthe middleofOctober. The schoolispayingapproximately$300in flxing upthis houseand we willhave to payfor anyother expenses whichmay come up above that amount. The studentsofCol^o Biblicoare also helpingonthe projectand thishelpsoutalot. Wewill have a considerableamountof expensehowevCT,as the house was in poor condition. Brent and Carol can attest to that statement.

We are anxiouslywaitingfor our next additionto the family, due Novemberthe 18th. We are hoping to bein the houseon campusassoonas possible becauseof the closenessof thisevent. Prayfor usin this matter and especiallyfor me as I ampreparing f or t he move as well as o ur n e xt child.

Becauseof additionalexpenseswhichwe will have herein making tfiemoveand also in the baby, someadditionalsupportwouldbe graceously accepted.Last yearwe were about 3,000shortof our allowed salaryat ColegioBibUco. This wouldbe agood time to pickup some of that deficit.

Praise th e Lord Our baby has arrived an d we are so grateful that everything has been going pretty goodfor us. I'm still laid up after feeling pretty good ail week an d then suddenly on Monday I go t sick with cramps. We thank Go d that f am feeling pretty good today again. My mother has been staying with us s ince we had th ebaby. We are so thankful fo r your prayers, thoughts and suppor t as we have awaited ou r babys arrival. She looksjust like Billy d id w he n he was born. She has real dark h ai r a nd b lu e eyes. She is such a cute, chubby little thing.

    During t h e m o nt h of October, th e Northeast ChristianChurch in San Anton io , gave me a shower for the baby. This wast f i rs t s h o w e r w h i c h I h ad a t t ende d which a l l o w e d m en in o n

die hjn. Several of th e men from th e congregation attended alongv\nth Bill. On e o f t he highlights of th e evening was a diaperchanging contest among th e me n present. Believe it o r n ot .Bill wo n th e contest. It makes me believe that t he compet i tionwas rigged II

Well, back to other things. Wefinally moved into ourhouse on campus. We had been praying that the baby wouldcome a ft er w e go t moved in an d before Bill started travelingin representation for th e college. That is just what had happened.Bill had to borrow some money from the bank in order toge t th e house fixed up . But, we feel that this was betterthan paying ou r o w n r en t fo r an indefinate period of time.If we ha d no t moved on campus, th e college would have quit

    paying t he r en t f or us at t h e o t he r house. Therefore, weinvested th e equavelant o f o ne years rent on th e campus

    house. If we remain here longer than on e year (There seemsto be l it tl e doubt about thisll we will have a pretty goodr t u r n o n o ur i n v e s t m e n t .

    We have moved i nt o t h e house on campus.
