MISSION STATEMENT

I will provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where each child will reach the highest possible level of academic, social, and emotional development while experiencing the joy of learning.

Developing good readers involves the cooperation of families and communities with schools.

Parents are a child’s first and most influential teachers, and they continue in the role, along with the schools and the community, in nurturing a child to adulthood.

Parents should read to their children,

IN SUMMARY:

What is the single most important academic thing your child can

learn to do this year in first grade?

Learn to READ!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL Before school, meet outside at the teacher

lineup.

Lineup is on the playground at the East doors.

When the bell rings, parents should say “good-bye” as students enter the building with their teacher. I will take a photo of your child in the classroom.

At the end of the day, all students will exit out the East doors.

It would be very helpful if each child had a written note as to where they will meet their group/carpool after school.
