Hot Issue
According to the Basic Law, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region shall be elected by the Election Committee and appointed by the Central People's Government.
The nomination period for the Chief Executive Election will run from February 14 to 29. The poll will be conducted on 25 March. At present, several persons have announced that they intend to run for the election and many Hong Kong people are concerned about their stances and views on Hong Kong’s overall development and policies regarding people’s livelihood.
