The courses provide the best of both worlds -theoretical and practical knowledge- making it a very enjoyable experience. I had the opportunity to pursue my Degree off-campus, at MFP Michelin, at their Centre of Technology (R&D). I was offered a stimulating concept project working shoulder to shoulder with the experts from the industry. It was an extraordinary experience discovering a French enterprise and applying the knowledge gained during the coursework. Two days after the completion of the Degree, I was hired by Skoda Auto based in Czech Republic. I am thrilled as it is an ideal opportunity to start my carrer. I am grateful to Centrale Nantes for facilitating an excellent platform to learn and grow.

Faculty At Mauritius, the Ecole Centrale de Nantes program offers courses in English and French, given by a mix of accomplished international professors and researchers and professionals from the corporate world.

Please note: to be eligible to register as a Professional Engineer by the Council of Professional Registered Engineers of Mauritius (CRPE), students will need to complete at least until the Masters level.

Most of the international students get attractive scholarship from Centrale Nantes, the European Commission and industrial partners.

The recognition or the scientific excellence of Centrale Nantes facilitates its collaboration with regional economic activities as well as global companies, and interactions with similar networks abroad. Centrale Nantes bridges the gaps between education, research, development, and the corporate world.

Centrale Nantes and the Groupe des Ecoles Centrales have an international network of alumni. 13.000 alumni have responsibility positions and hold key positions in a variety of sectors, functions and companies.

Access to cutting-edge technology platforms As a source of innovation and open-mindedness, Centrale Nantes provides strong links with industry and enjoys a reputation of excellence around the world. The school’s research units possess experimental equipment that is unique in their respective fields, particularly in naval hydrodynamics, fluid mechanics, civil engineering, crash testing, virtual reality, robotics, and machining.

The research laboratories are totally integrated into the educational program of the school to ensure study-through-research for engineering students and enrich their training by giving them access to inductive pedagogies in the laboratories and enable those who start their career in R&D to prepare for their future work.

During your third year at Centrale Nantes, you will have the opportunity to access those equipments.

The breadth and depth of our courses provide important employability skills closely linked to the current and future needs of industry. Our Bachelor of Science in Engineering graduates are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the future and can look forward to excellent employment prospects at the end of the program. Bachelor graduates will also have the option of continuing their education in a Master’s program for the fifth and sixth years.

My Degree at Ecole Centrale de Nantes was in the domain of computational solid mechanics. I did my courses in a well-organized and professionally planned program which is tailored to the needs of any solid mechanics student on a global level and under the supervision of very professional and renowned professors in their research domain. Currently, I am working for Knauf, a well-known German company which produces building materials and is one of the market leaders in its domain. I work as maintenance support engineer in the plant technical support team and I give technical support to Knauf’s plants in Europe.
