• A Prep School and a College
team participated in the Let-
sitele Kaskar Competition on
Saturday 30 July.
• A Reach-a-Cross educator work-
shop took place at the SCS
Resource Centre on Saturday 30
July.
• Our Prep School presented
Charlie and the Chocolate Fac-tory from 2 to 4 August.
• Our PA successfully held its
Night of a Hundred Lots fund-
raiser on Friday 5 August.
• The SCS Founders’ Day and 10th
Year Celebrations took place on
Saturday 6 August.
• The College trip to Inhaca Is-
land in Mozambique departed at
noon on Saturday 6 August.
Saturday 6 August saw the school celebrating its
annual Founders’ Day and 10 years of existence. The
photographs show the school’s learners in January
2002 and then in July 2011. Ten years of growth and
development and undoubtedly a great future ahead.
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory It was fabulous to witness the creativity, joy and energy on stage last week as our Prep School per-formed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to en-thralled audiences. Congratulations to all the children for their wonderful performances. Well done to our directors, Colleen Taylor and Maureen Lahoud.
Thanks to our sponsors: Pick n Pay, Spar, Kruger2Canyon News and Raptor’s Lodge. Thanks also to our par-ents for their wonderful support.
Sports Field Progress
Earth works have begun on
the area of our new sports
fields. The top soil is being
removed and stored till the
area has been leveled. There
is about a 4,5m drop over the
length of the field, so a cut-
and-fill process is taking
place to level the area.
