Forest closure

According to Sec. 33 it is only permitted to descend with skis in the forest in the area of ascending aids on marked slopes “Ascending aids area” (e.g. cable cars). Means the area that can be reached from the summit station of an ascending aid, but in any case an area of 500 m on both sides of the ascending aid, slope or marked descent. Therefore, only ski on the marked slopes. Violators will be prosecuted. WARNING: After the end of operation, between 16:30 and 08:30, it is strictly forbidden to ski on the slopes.

Gerlitzen Moments

During the winter season, the beloved Bino-Bär Show with our little mascot takes place daily in the Schneebärenland near Kanzelhöhe middle station from 13:30.

Every Friday there is a ski and snowboard race at the Moserhang with time-keeping and awarding of the winner. You can register for the race at the Gerlitzen Ski School.

Schneebärenland

Gerlitzen's Bino-Bär makes sure that the first contact with snow in the three training areas on the mountain are incredibly fun. While the little ones learn how to ski with the help of the pedagogically trained and tested children's ski instructors of the Gerlitzen Ski and Snowboard School, their parents can enjoy the slopes without worries.

Terms and conditionsThe general price conditions and terms and conditions, price tables and officially approved transport conditions pursuant to the sign form a part of the transport contract. With the purchase of a ticket (all tickets and ticket types sold by Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn Touristik GmbH&Co.KG), the customer acknowledges the provisions below and undertakes to observe them. Children discount: for children born between 2006 and 2014. Proof required with valid identification card. Children under 6 accompanied by their parent(s) ride free, if they ride on their parents lap and do not use an own seat or t-bar. All other children under 6 require a so-called "Bambini ticket". Information and issuing at the ticket offices.

Adolescent discounts: for adolescents born 2002-2005. Proof required with valid identification card.

Student discounts: for students up to their 27th birthday (birth year 1994 included) upon presentation of valid student ID (with photo).

Senior discounts: born 1955 and earlier. Proof with valid photo ID.

People with a disability: as of 60% disablement you are charged the children's tariff according to valid tariffs in the day and multiple day ticket range upon presentation of a valid ID (one-way and point tickets excluded).

Flexipasses are only valid in winter season 2020/2021.

Additional day: is only valid directly following the 6-day ski pass.

Data carriers/ski passes: ski passes are issued on touchless one-way tickets or reusable key cards depending on the ticket type. Key cards are subject to a deposit of 5 euros in addition to the ticket price. Upon return of the undamaged key card, the 5 euros are reimbursed.

Family discounts: for large families (at least 1 parent and at least 3 children) the youngest child (born 2006 – 2014) rides for free! If the family has more than three children, all additional children also ride for free. The family discount can as a rule only be used upon presentation of official proof of family ties and presentation of the identification card stating the age of the children in the family (birth years 2006-2014).

Reimbursement: the ski pass can only be reimbursed after sports accidents or illness, and exclusively for the injured or ill person, if the ski pass is returned immediately to one of the ticket offices. Reimbursement is in cash, minus a processing free of 5 euros. Days of usage are the days from the issuance of the ski pass to its deposit. If the ticket is returned by 10:00, this day is not counted. A doctor's certificate is only accepted from the doctors in the district of Villach or a state hospital and must be presented for any reimbursement. No reimbursement can be provided for family members that depart early along with the injured person. Special regulations are applicable for season tickets, see postings at the ticket offices. Poor weather, power interruption, officially ordered closures, avalanche hazards, unforeseen or premature departures, interruptions to operations, discontinuation of all or of individual facilities due to weather or operative reasons, closure of slopes, limited slope quality due to fresh snow, technical snow, föhn storm, rain, shuttle services etc. do not constitute a claim for price reduction, reimbursement or extension of the issued ski pass. No reimbursement for day tickets, half-day tickets and hourly tickets.

Half days can only be used on the 1st day.

Photographic recording: by purchasing a ticket, the guest agrees to have his/her picture taken and saved at the ticket offices and access points (turnstiles). This data is used for control purposes to avoid fraudulent usage of the tickets.

General provisions: Ticket sales for day and multiple day passes can be purchased after 15:00 on the previous day (but are only usable on the following day). Only valid ski passes and lift tickets and the slope tour ticket authorize the usage of our slopes and facilities. The guest agrees to our general business conditions and other regulations with the purchase of the ski pass, the lift ticket or the slope tour ticket. Ski passes for several days are only valid on consecutive days. Validated ski passes cannot be returned. No replacements for lost and forgotten ski tickets. Ski tickets cannot be transferred and must be presented to the control personnel without request within the control zones. The tickets are checked by automatic readers or visual control (depending on the facility). Misuse is a criminal offense and has the consequence of immediate withdrawal of the ticket, the exclusion of transportation, the collection of a fee amounting to € 49.50 and the sum of a day value and a report to the authorities. The FIS rules are applicable throughout the entire ski area and must be followed. Instructions from the cable car and slope personnel, the slope ambulance, slope security personnel and parking lot personnel must be followed, non-adherence to these instructions and grave violations of the FIS rules are subject to the withdrawal of the ski pass and exclusion of transportation. Ski touring on the slopes is prohibited on all slopes of the ski resort, with the exception of the indicated edge of the slope on the left side of the Klösterle ski slope (for ski touring and only with valid slope touring ticket). Valid ski passes authorize the usage of the cable car and lift facilities and the indicated slopes during the operating hours. The transportation rules and operating hours of the cable car and lift facilities and the slopes are posted in the stations and may be different for the individual facilities. After closing time, skiing and walking on the slopes is prohibited and dangerous, as the slopes are being prepared and snow work may be underway. A limited variety of facilities and slopes may be expected in the off-peak seasons and in case of insufficient snow. Marked slopes: poles, round signs and slope indication balls mark secured slopes. Slopes and ski routes that are not marked and not prepared are not called "slopes". Usage is at your own risk. Skiing in forest areas is a criminal offense according to Sec. 174(3)(E) forestry law. Violation causes withdrawal of the ticket. All ski tickets are activated for one ascent with the Kanzelbahn per day. If you intend to ascend more than once with the Kanzelbahn, please tell our lift or ticket office personnel in the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn at the latest during the descent with the Kanzelbahn.

Care-free package insurance against breaking and damage of rented material available for a 10% surcharge. No deductible in case of damage. In case of loss or theft, a police report for the loss or theft must be presented, and the fair value of the rented equipment must be reimbursed. 1. Timely registration is required for all courses and private lessons. For group courses in all ski school offices at least 30 minutes before start of lesson. Group courses require at least 5 people. If fewer people show up, the ski school reserves the right to combine groups or shorten the lessons. Reserving private lessons requires a down payment. The amount is based on the number of reserved hours. 2. Cancellation conditions for private lessons: private lessons are held in all weather. In case of no-show or of cancellation on the same day (morning), 100% of the lesson costs are due. 3. Cancellation conditions for group courses: refunds due to injury or sickness (during the course) only upon presentation of a doctor's note. Only unused days will be refunded (remaining amount). Course cards are non-transferable. 4. No liability for accidents during lessons. Lessons cancelled due to weather conditions (force majeure) are not refunded.
