Hello my fellow reader’s!

A lot has happened in the past month! Dues, the rally, a mascot change, have all been accomplished. I would like to thank every treasurer, secretary, and faculty advisor who has worked towards turning in dues and updating the Membership Update Center. Almost every club has gone above and beyond and gained more than the minimum of 15 members! Not only is this excellent towards your club’s growth and success, it makes me look good in front of my executive board!

The rally happened in the middle of last month, and was an overall success. A few setbacks here and there, sure, but I again want to thank everyone who came and made it a success. The mascot has officially been changed from the AYS Eskimo’s, to the AYS Puffins! I hope all of the officers that went to my rally gained valuable recourses on how to be a better leader and officers! If any of them want the recourses I presented, please do not hesitate to contact me!

As the year goes on, my term starts to wane. I have 4 more months left until my term is up, and my replacement’s has started! On page 4 I will talk more about the responsibilities of my position, and how to run for it! (Hint: if you are interested in being a LtG, go to page 4!)

Project Eliminate is a joint Kiwanis International/UNICEF project to eradicate all maternal and neonatal tetanus from the world. Neonatal

tetanus comes from cutting an umbilical cord with a dirty knife, among other things, and kills one baby ever nine minutes. This is unacceptable. Please, stand up and fight this battle with all of us. Last year the Pacific Northwest raised over $19,350. Let’s raise that number even higher this

year!
