Product Development
A large number of our products were coming in for “over-power” failures.
The challenge: Protect our customer’s devices while they conduct high power
measurements.
We used Agile techniques to develop a solution in 3
months.
The challenge: Each module needed to be powered up for 48 hours in our
55C oven.
At that time, our resources were limited. I extended beyond the traditional role of mechanical
engineering and developed the mechanical, electrical, and software
design. This solution enabled the technicians to know each module’s
status at a glance.
Manufacturing Support
Our customer needed a measurement system that could test
their devices with less than a 1ºC above ambient influence. The
challenge: Achieve this goal with our current offering which operates at ~65ºC and influenced the DUT
significantly.
The coordinated efforts of myself and an RF designer provided an
inexpensive solution that achieved this goal.
