Awethu scaffold is a professional company in the scaffold, insulation and corrosion protection industries.

The need for the erection of scaffold was identified for a save work environment.

Awethu Scaffold is a well established business based in Rustenburg with operations in North- West and Limpopo. Awethu Scaffold is now opening a branch in Thabazimbi as a result of the growing demand of business in the area. The scope of our tender for a project is solely defined according to the task and desires of our customer.

Our aim is to ensure a safe working environment to all employees.

Awethu Scaffold is BEE compliant with level 2 rating.

THE COMPANY

We comply with S.A.N.S. 10085 as our minimum standard. With our years of experience we exceeded all safety standards. With experience from working over 100 different sites, we understand the importance and implementation of safety. We do not only understand it but is also capable of communicating it to all personnel. Awethu Scaffold, the company, has zero lost time injury as up to date. With a manpower of 350 men, we have 5 safety officers , 19 safety representatives. We understand and obey all safety standards Safety records compliance documentation: Awethu have in place: D.S.T.I`s, mini risk assessments, P.T.O`s, tool box talks, scaffold registers, weekly PPE inspection etc. All erected scaffold will be inspected by a competent scaffold inspector and be handed over with a handing over certificate. SAFETY

Management have over 40 years scaffold, sheet metal & insulation and corrosion protection experience on Power stations, Acid plants and various other construction sites. All scaffolds over 20 meters and all specialized scaffolds are designed, inspected and approved by qualified scaffold designers. Our fleet consists of 16 vehicles. We currently manage over 1000 tons of scaffold with ease. We have a well established efficient infrastructure in place. The company have a workforce of over 300 employees with the majority having over 3 years Scaffold erection experience. Head office management consists of 14 competent and well experienced staff with honest and strong characteristics. This also enables Awethu Scaffold to have a personal relationship with our employees and clients.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCE

Awethu Scaffold conduct scaffold training on a regular basis for existing and new employees. Example: Nosa, risk assessment, safety at heights, material handling training, material quality control training, stack & storage training, first aid training, mine health & safety training etc. Awethu Scaffold make use of accredited training companies only. Proof of regular training is available.

The correct use and safe working load of all components are well known to Awethu and implemented on a daily basis. Awethu Scaffold is also updated on all new components and safe working factors of new components in the scaffold industry. Our scaffolding is SABS approved, proof of certificates are available. All scaffolding is checked by quality controllers and rotated on a regular basis. All materials are quality checked and colour coded. Scaffold material are annually rotated to ensure the utmost quality of all scaffold materials.
