Brief Bio-Data: Prof. Al Khalaf is the Dean of The College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, since 2015. After graduating with a B.A.(1992) and M.A.(1998) Awad Al Khalaf completed his Doctorate in Foundations of Religion in 2001 from the University of al-Qarawiyyin, Morocco. He now works with the University of Sharjah and is a member of its numerous committees.

Prof. Awad Al Khalaf has supervised 12 postgraduate students and been an examiner at local and international

institutions, including being a Ph.D. examiner in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He has also participated in several consultations through the Virtual University Experts Committee of the Federation of

Universities of the Islamic World, representing the University of Sharjah, in a number of meetings, in different parts of

the Islamic World.

In recognition of his research and accomplishments he received several awards and honors from international and

local bodies and heads of State.
