Once users are authenticated, Autonomy Document Process Automation delivers a menu of personalized functions and processes to the MFP interface. Process-specific applications replace confusing menus, and users of Autonomy WorkSite can access their centralized document repository to search, retrieve, preview, and print documents.

Intelligent classification, extraction, and process automation

Autonomy DPA enables you to automate document processing and data extraction. Documents can be read using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to support full text search, and information can be extracted from specific fields for comparison with or without entry into enterprise data systems.

Sophisticated functionality like intelligent document recognition and classification enables forms to be recognized without user intervention, to streamline information extraction and process workflows. For example, DPA can recognize a scanned document as an invoice, automatically extract the purchase order numbers and line item amounts, communicate with the financial system, and if necessary, initiate an approval workflow based on the amount due. The document can then be filed into Autonomy WorkSite, or any other compatible document management system.

Simple, accurate scanning to WorkSite

Autonomy Document Process Automation is fully integrated with WorkSite, HP Autonomy’s document and email management solution. Eliminating cover sheets and barcodes, users scan directly into personal folders in WorkSite, enabling simple drag-and-drop to matter or project folders. Smart scanning automates the process further by recognizing document metadata such as document number or another suitable indicator. Auto-filing allows users to move documents directly into the appropriate project or matter folder. With Autonomy DPA, you can streamline scanning operations, improve quality, enhance the user experience, and reduce the possibility of errors or omissions.

Access and print enterprise content from anywhere

The reality is that workers are mobile, travelling between offices and needing to print documents that may have been revised while they were in transit. When arriving at a remote office, WorkSite automatically synchronizes changes made in transit to the central system.

As an added benefit, to overcome the challenges of printing on an unfamiliar device at a new office, Autonomy DPA becomes a printer kiosk. With single button access, users can log into WorkSite, use the “Recent Documents” shortcut, or navigate to a specific matter folder and preview and print documents. Autonomy DPA eliminates user frustration and equips the mobile workforce with what they need to remain productive, even while on the road.
