We are proud of the forward looking group which organized the Austin Genealogical Society, and the members who are devoting much of their time to the advancement of the Society and the program planned by the Board of Directors, which ranges from the recruiting of new members, to research, to the program which makes possible the acquisition of reference publications and census microfilms. We have been favored for the entire time that the Society has been in existence with outstanding editors for the Quarterly. We have also been fortunate in our program of' exchanging th,e Quarterly for publications of other societies, and in the work of the librarians over the years. We hope that all who are interested in searching for their ancestors will join with us as members, and as active participants in all phases of the program, including assisting the Vice-president in charge of the monthly meeting programs in securing future speakers of the caliber of those in the past. members, also, those who live outside the Austin area, who can only receive the Quarterly and the benefits of association by mail.
