Remembrance Day Assembly Today we held an assembly to remember all those members of the

armed forces who have given their lives in defence of their country over the last century. From the end of the Great War 100

years ago to the conflicts that are still happening today. The children of Year 6 gave a moving tribute through poetry, readings and images to those soldiers who died in the First World War and

other conflicts and the whole school observed an impeccable minute silence.

Thank you to all the visitors who also attended the assembly.

Halloween Disco The children had a ‘frighteningly’ good time at our Halloween

Disco last week. There were some ‘shocking’ costumes and some ‘wicked’ dance moves. Thank you to Mrs Bentley for organising and all the parents and staff who helped with the catering. You can find the photos from the event by clicking the link below.

Cherry Class Parents Evening

Due to Ms Hartley’s absence through illness, Cherry Class Parents Evening will take place on Wednesday 21st November 2:00-6:00pm. Your child should have had an appointment letter.

Updated School Uniform Policy The school governing body have now reviewed and updated the school uniform policy. The requirements for school uniform can

be found by clicking the link below. Before buying any new clothing for school uniform, please can you double check the requirements so money is not wasted on items that are not

allowed including certain coloured socks, tights and trainer style shoes. Please also note that extreme haircuts, hair colouring and

jewellery (with the exception of watches) are not allowed. If you are in any doubt, please ask before purchasing. Thank you for your continued support in this matter.

Christmas Fair Planning The PTA will be holding a planning meeting for this years

Christmas fair. The meeting will take place on Thursday 22nd November at 5pm. All parents are welcome as any help is much

appreciated.

Sports Desk The TAG Rugby team were in action last week. They played two

matches. One match was narrowly lost to St Maria-Goretti 12 -11 and one match was won convincingly against Roebuck 8-3. Well

done Tyreeq, Hazik, Muhammed, Oskar, Adnaan, Abigail, Georgia and Charlee.

Our Triathlon team also were competing this week at West View Leisure Centre. There was a very strong field with 23 schools

taking part in the Swim, Gym and Run disciplines. Well done to Zaid, Michelle, Muhammed P, Leanna, Summer and Abigail. And finally the Gymnastic team took part in the Y5 and Y6

Gymnastic competition. They were required to perform a very complicated floor routine and I was amazed at how professional they all looked. Well done to Aaliyah, Abigail, Charlee, Nevaeh

and Casey.
