Athena's Story Athena's father, Zeus had an

affair with Metis, whom became pregnant. Zeus feared that she was carrying the son that would overthrow him and take his thrown. Zeus ,then swallowed Metis and started to have great pain. He had another god cut his head open with an ax, and there she was fully grown and armed.
