1896 - An entrepreneur, E.P. Doris, relocates his hardware business from Farmington, Washington, to Lewiston Idaho. He opens a new store under the name of “Cash Hardware.”

1910 - Robert S. Erb, my great-great-great uncle, takes over ownership of the store under the new name Erb Hardware Company.

1970 - My grandfather Richard Bennett and his wife Joann, who owned stock in the company bought out the remaining shareholders.

2012 - Brett Toney and his wife Laurie make an offer to buy out the shareholders of Erb’s Ace Hardware. 2013 - The Toney family secures nancing and approval for the purchase from the Ace Hardware Corporation making

it a sole proprietorship. The rest is history!

Les Schwab started the tire business in Prineville, Oregon, on January 1st, 1952. He came to Lewiston in 1966 and at that time purchased six locations from General Tire. They were tire stores in Couer d’ Alene, Moscow, Kellogg, Oro no, Grangeville and Lewiston. All locations opened on the same day, October 1st, 1966.

Our mission is providing volunteers to enable seniors and others to live independently in their own homes. Direct services include local and long-distance transportation to medical care

and personal care appointments, shopping – including shopping for you, rides to your bank, visiting a friend, and running errands. In addition we build and repair wheelchair ramps, do yard work, accomplish minor home repairs, and help with moving. There is never a charge for our services.We are the only local service agency providing no charge transportation to seniors and

others. Our volunteers provide grace and kindness to those we serve, as we do everything within our means to help folks stay living at home.

During our thirty years Interlink Volunteers has provided thousands of transports for medical and other care appointments. We have built hundreds of wheelchair ramps, and raked leaves in many yards. Thousands of volunteers have driven in excess of One Million Miles providing services to hundreds and hundreds of care-receivers during this time, bringing goodness throughout our communities of Lewiston, Clarkston, Lapwai and Asotin. The blessings of countless donations support our efforts day by day. We depend on your steadfast support to allow us to provide services to the grandmas and grandpas among us. Thank you.
