La superiorità della sella aStUte è data da FOrMa e IMbOttItUra rivoluzionarie.

La FOrMa particolare della sella astute realizzata grazie a 2 scocche leggerissime con una

forma a “U aperta” permette di avere un volume triplo di imbottitura comparato a quello che

offre il mercato attualmente, mantenendo però le stesse dimensioni di una sella tradizio-

nale e offrendo un maggiore comfort. La nuova forma della scocca astute ad ‘U aPerta’ ha

permesso di abbassare il baricentro della sella rendendola più aerodinamica e performante,

permettendo di aumentarne le caratteristiche ergonomiche.

the SHaPe – the particular shape of aStUte saddle is realized thanks to a new ultralight

double base with a U-OPen shape that allows three times more padding capacity compared

to what the market actually offers. this helps to keep the same dimensions of a traditional

saddle while offering a greater comfort. the new U-OPen shape of the saddle allows to lo-

wer the center pressure point while making it more aerodynamic and performing, in order

to increase ergonomic features.

the basic feature of lightness and resistance of an aStUte saddle is

based on the patented concept of double bases, both extremely thin and

light that offer much more resistance when put together compared to

a unique base.

L’IMbOttItUra è realizzata con un tri-density neS70, un mate-

riale leggerissimo creato da ben tre speciali schiume espanse che

possiedono la particolare caratteristica di Memory Foam System

(come i sedili di ultima generazione delle macchine da corsa). Que-

sto innovativo sistema di imbottitura rende la sella estremamente

confortevole senza incidere negativamente sul peso ma soprattutto

esaltandone la straordinaria aerodinamicità.

Grazie all’originale forma e alla speciale imbottitura possiamo con-

statare come la sella aStUte riesca a risolvere, limitare se non

eliminare tutte quelle situazioni responsabili dei comuni fastidi di

indolenzimento soprattutto perineale.

PaddInG - it is realized with trI-denSIty neS70, a ultra-light ma-

terial made of three special expanded foams with the distinctive

feature of Memory Foam System ( as the latest generation of racing

car seats). this innovative padding system makes the saddle much

more comfortable with no negative impact on its weight and enhan-

ces its extraordinary aerodynamics.

thanks to its original shape and its special pad, we can state that

the aStUte saddle can solve and eliminate all those situations re-

sponsible for common cycling problems in the pelvic area.

In Skyline and Skylite Pilarga saddles, those models with a width of 145mm, it has been stu-

died and developed a completely new padding - unique in its field - which allows the consumer

needing a wider sitting, the maximum output in performance and comfort – characteristics

that distinguish all aStUte products.

the padding of PILarGa saddles is realized in trI-denSIty dow chemical (Memory Foam

System) that, unlike the saddles with a width of 135mm (neS70 sandwich-positioned), displays

different densities according to the different sitting portions. In this way in the rear area we

can find a greater density and a progressive payload, in order to better hold up sit bones, with

a counterbalance of the posture and an enhancement of blood flowing; unlike the front area

always remains very soft to offer the best “well-being” and, in order to avoid road vibrations,

always in the front part, a soft component has been inserted: a special shock absorber that

makes the saddle even more neutral to vibrations and extremely comfortable.

nei modelli Skyline e Skylite PILarGa, ovvero

quei modelli di larghezza 145mm, è stata stu-

diata e realizzata un’imbottitura completamen-

te nuova ed unica nel settore per consentire a

quel consumatore che necessiti più ampia se-

duta la massima resa in performance e com-

fort, caratteristiche che contraddistinguono i

prodotti aStUte.

L’imbottitura delle selle PILarGa è sempre

realizzata da un trI-denSIty dow chemical

(Memory Foam System) che, a differenza di

quello delle selle di larghezza 135mm (neS70

disposto a sandwich), si presenta con densità

diverse in base alle zona di seduta della sella.

In questa maniera nella parte posteriore trove-

remo una densità maggiore ed una portanza di

tipo progressivo, per sostenere meglio le ossa

ischiatiche, con un bilanciamento della postu-

ra ed il miglioramento della circolazione san-

guigna; invece la zona anteriore rimane sem-

pre molto morbida per garantire la massima

comodità, inoltre, per ovviare allo stress della

strada, nella parte anteriore è stato inserito un

componente “soft”: uno speciale anti shock ab-

sorber che rende la sella ancora più neutra alle

vibrazioni ed estremamente confortevole.

Last but not least, the innovative SPaS (Shock Pad absorber System)

is a couple of two specific shock-absorber pads placed in between

base and rails.

Only SPaS is able to absorb shocks and vibrations and it eliminates

any friction between the rail and the base.

Ultimo ma non meno importante l’innovativo SPaS (Shock Pad absorber

System) è una coppia di speciali cuscinetti posti tra il binario e la scocca.

Soltanto SPaS permette di attutire shock e vibrazioni mantenendo in as-

setto gli elementi, inoltre elimina gli attriti tra binario e scocca.

Le selle aStUte sono soggette a continui test sia nei suoi componenti che nel prodotto finito.

• test di POrtanZa, di reSIStenZa e di reSILIenZa dell’imbot-titura con almeno 300,000 cicli di pressione con forze variabili da 70 a 100 kg.

• test di traZIOne in cui la sella viene sottoposta ad un tiraggio verso l’altro di 46 kg per un tempo di 40 secondi.

• test di reSIStenZa aLLO StrOFInIO (test VeSLIC), ogni mate-riale di rivestimento è soggetto a strofinio con feltrini asciutti e feltrini impregnati di sudore alcalino, il test prevede strofinio con cicli che variano da 1000 cicli a 2000 cicli con una pressione di 1 kg.

• test CLIMatICI: le selle vengono collocate in camera climatica dove si ricreano le condizioni di caldo, freddo ed umidità che si riscontrano nei diversi paesi e diverse circostanze di utilizzo al fine di verificare la reazione dei materiali e del prodotto nel suo insieme.

• test sul CarbOnIO: il carbonio di ogni componente viene testato con test a “tOrre dI CadUta” per misurare la capacita di resistenza e di as-sorbimento ad impatti: il test prevede la caduta di un peso alla potenza di 32 J per 5 colpi ripetuti consecutivamente.

aStUte saddles are subject to continuous tests involving both its components and the final product.

• liftingtest, reSIStanCe test and reSILIenCe test of the pad with at least 300.000 pressure cycles with forces from 70 to 100 kg for each part of the saddle: front part, middle and back part.

• tractiontest – the front part of the saddle is exposed to an upward force of 46 kgs for 40 seconds.

• Veslic test – all the cover materials are subject to rubbing with dry and wet (alkaline sweat) felts with at least 1000-2000 cycles with a pressure of 1 kg.

• saddlesareplacedinaCLIMatIC chamber and exposed to hot, humid and cold cycles, creating the atmosphere and the conditions that can be find in different places of the world.

• carbon is tested in a drOP testing machine that for at least 5 consecutive bumps, releases a weight giving an energy impact of 32J.

creazione del sistema a doppia base si riesce a realizzare ed offrire

stetiche graffette, un vero piacere sensoriale per gli occhi e per il tatto.

L’utilizzo di processi di verniciatura dedicati quali la finitura in SOFt

tOUCH (la prima in questo settore) o le Special FLUO riescono a esal-

tarne i contenuti rendendola un prodotto UnICO e rICOnOSCIbILe in

posa ed in bicicletta!

In the aStUte project, the baSe plays a leading role and thanks to the creation of double base system it is possible to create a saddle COM-

PLeteLy FLaWLeSS with no glue smear or unaesthetic staples, truly pleasing both sight and touch. the use of given painting process such

as SOFt tOUCH finishing (the first one in this field) or the special FLUO permit to enhance the contents, making it a UnIQUe and reCOGnI-

ZabLe product, whether is it on pose or moving.
