Soon after his birth in 2008, when he predicted the winner ofGermanys matches with 80% accuracy at EURO 2008. Hisonly forecasting error was the championship match involving

Spain and Germany which may have been related to unduestress from his German hosts. Now, after breaking the hearts bysuccessfully predicting a Spanish victory, his life- and likelythat of his family members- is in danger. Animal rightsactivists have called for the immediate release of Paul into aprotected French Mediterranean marine park where fishing isbanned. This author thinks that Paul needs our full support. However, we want to hear your opinion. Should Paul haveknown better, as he has 9 brains and belongs to a speciesconsidered to be the most intelligent of all invertebrates or is hean innocent victim of brainless sports fanatics?

Culinary DelightsTaiwan is arguably one of the best places in the world to eat out. People love food and there are countless places to eat until you Arguably the strongest aspect of Taiwanese food culture is street food. There is one place near Taipei that is the undisputed champion alocals and tourists alike: Danshui! Every weekend the long waterfront and main shopping street are crowded. The restaurants haamazing variety of snacks, so one can taste the whole repertoire of Taiwan's cuisine in one place. Since Danshui is located by thseafood is a very popular choice. Grilled octopus, octopus balls (Sorry Paul!), fish balls stuffed with meat and garlic soup and can be wdown with one of the many exotic fruit juices. In particular a sour plum drink, made of salted pickled plums. For desserts, you can sugar coated fruit (mostly strawberries and plum tomatoes) on a stick, or find the Turkish ice cream man teasing kids near the ferry stDanshui also has its specialty, rarely found elsewhere in the country, the A-Gei: deep fried tofu stuffed with flavoured crystal noodles, with fish paste often served with a nice spicy sauce. Most restaurants serving A-Gei are in the middle part of Danshui, one of the or

ones being on Zhenli Street. To finish the day off, you can take the ferry to the Fisherman's Warf and watch the beautiful sunset with belly. G. Imreh -Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences
