The ADR211A is single pole OC/EF relay with Instantaneous high set and programmable output to simplify feeder protection wiring. The ADR211A continuously monitors earth current, through CT connections. The high-speed micro- controller samples this current through a 12-bit A/D converter. The micro-controller performs powerful Digital Algorithms to find out Amplitude of current signal, and then this value is use for protection and metering function. All measurement is tuned to fundamental frequency. Each input current is also displayed on 16 x 2 LCD display for metering. The Relay is having main three functions 1) Protection 2) Self-Supervision 3) Measurement The Relay can be supplied with different model. It can be either Definite Time or IDMT. 1. Protection Functions: The ADR211A give maximum benefit/cost ratio. The ADR211A give all the advantage of numerical relay at affordable cost. 1.1. Protection Function:

The ADR211A has single element (OC/ EF). The tripping current can be set from 5% to80% (for EF) or 50% to 200% (OC) in steps of 1% by Keys switch provided on front panel.The unit has selection of IDMT characteristic of International IEC standard, Very inverse /Extremely Inverse / Long Inverse and Standard Inverse (3.0 sec, 1.3sec, 1.5 Sec, 0.8 sec& 13.3 sec at 10 times). The unit also has Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) from x0.01 tox1.0 for IDMT delay multiplication. The instantaneous tripping function is having range of100% - 1200% for EF or 200% 3000% for OC and can be set in steps of 100%. The highspeed CPU continuously monitors the current input and compares with IDMT as well asinstantaneous setting. If current is above instantaneous setting the relay providesimmediate trip command bypassing IDMT delay. If is input current is less thaninstantaneous setting but more than IDMT setting, CPU calculate IDMT delay as perselected IDMT characteristic multiply it with TMS setting and provide trip command if faultis persist even after this time delay.

All the settings are password protected to prevent unauthorised change.The relay is available in verity of model for different applicationAM001xx are OC relay for time graded feeder protectionAM002xx are EF relay for time graded feeder protection

1.2 Breaker Fail Contact:After the tripping operation of relay, if the current does not become Zero within the set BFdelay then breaker failure contact will get operated.For Model: AM 00x03 Breaker Fail contact is provided.

2.0 Supervision Function: -2.1 Self-supervision: -

The continuously keeping track on its internal hardware and the movement it detect any failureof any component, it give message on LCD display, This feature is very useful to give preinformation to avoid any mall - operation. In such situation it uses some default setting andremains in protection mode.

3.0 Measurement Function:In normal condition this display shows all settings. Via keyboard the display can be program toshow the actual current flowing through the relay. If current excesses set value the relay givestrip command. The type of fault is displayed on LCD display.During the fault condition the relay measure the fault current and store in non-volatilememory. The fault current can be read via keyboard on LCD display Last 5 fault valuesalong with tripping counter can be view via key-board. All settings are save in Electricallyerasable read only memory and remain.
