This was the first idea I used for my gum packet, which I didn’t use. Since my gum includes pear and soda, I planned out to use green and blue as a main color. The green and white gradation was to give out the refreshing image of the gum. I didn’t use this idea because the green gradation did not look good after putting on the image and the product name.
This was the second idea I got. I thought I should change the green color of the gradation from before, so I made the color even lighter. This seemed to fit with the images, but the green didn’t seemed like “mint” instead of “pear” so I decided not to use this color.

I changed the background again, and this time to use blue. Not dark blue, but light blue. This was because I thought dark blue would give a strong mint image like this. (Cool mint from LOTTE company) I added a white circle to be able to see the product name well. I changed the border to a lighter color to make it fit with the image I drew. At first, I put the white circle at the back of the product name to make it stand out, but I added more circles to show the bubbles of the soda coming out from the straw. This was used to fill up the spaces too.
At first, I was planning to use the real nutrition fact but I decided to make my on because the white and black didn’t fit with the background color. If I use the same light blue again, it would be boring so I used darker blue to make the nutrition facts its self stand out. The nutrition facts was made easily by Rounded rectangle tool and the font, Helvetica. The white bubbles were put on the side and on the back cover to give a unison look. To fill the space next to the nutrition facts, I added a slogan. Again, to give a unison look, I put the words on the bubble like the product name. The images were hard to look at because the colors were close to the background. That is why I used a white line around it. To do this, I double clicked on the layer, click stroke and changed the color to white. This was done for “freshness” and “YOUR” in the slogan
This was the final product. The stripes were stretched to the back and the barcodes were made green to fit with the other colors. I decided to make a product “Pear and soda gum” because I wanted to make a new flavor of gum that seemed as if they were actually sold in shops. I saw many gums that included fruits and soda together so I looked up on many fruits that might fit with soda and I ended up with pear. The product name, SPARSHIO came from SPARKLE (bubbles of soda) and FRESH combined together. The use of color seemed more for women, so instead of using hard strong fonts such as Adobe Calson Pro Bold and Courier, I used round fonts to fit with the white bubbles and the shape of pear. I wanted to stick with blue, green and white for this product, so I used many different types of them to not make them look boring and simple. The barcode font was downloaded from Da fonts and it is called Paskowy
