1-A maioria das revistas impressas que disponibilizam também no formato eletrônico continua mantendo a forma tradicional de citação, ou seja, ano; volume (número do fascículo): páginas inicial-final, além do DOI number; 2-As revistas impressas que migraram para o formato eletrônico citam os artigos de diferentes formas, embora todas usem o DOI number; 3-A maioria das citações dos artigos publicados em revistas originariamente eletrônicas segue a seguinte forma de citação: ano; volume (número do artigo citado no ano/número do artigo citado pela coleção); 4-Algumas revistas eletrônicas citam o número do artigo publicado acompanhado da letra e (electronic); 5-As Bases de dados são unânimes em preferir utilizar o DOI number como forma de busca e citação;
6-As plataformas CV Lattes (Brazil), ORCID, Mendeley, entre outras, utilizam diferentes maneiras de citação dos artigos eletrônicos; 7-A inserção dos artigos eletrônicos nas Bases Clarivate Analytics e Scopus-Elsevier, que geram respectivamente o Fator de Impacto e o Cites/doc está sujeita a um grande número de erros! 8-A citação de artigos publicados em revistas eletrônicas em fluxo contínuo ainda é um grande desafio; 9-O DOI number se define dia a dia como forma ideal de busca e citação. 10-O Fator de Impacto (Clarivate Analytics) e o Cites/doc (Scopus-Elsevier) das revistas originalmente eletrônicas estão subestimados!
