Cost: $120 for 5 daysAges: 4-6Join this week-long adventure at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Working with ArtisTree staff and a park ranger, you’ll become an official “Nature Explorer” using your imagination, curiosity, and your five senses to investigate and build connections to nature’s wonders. Each day you’ll enjoy new themed crafts, music, movement, and forest excursions.

Working in small groups, you’ll construct 3-D characters and sets with found objects and materials such as wire, fabric, wood, and recycled objects. You’ll animate your storyone frame at a time. When the shooting is done, record an original soundtrack to complete your animation. Final productions will be posted to YouTube for viewing.

Stop-Motion Animation

Instructor: Meredith HolchClass Dates: One-week camp, July 29 – August 2 Day/Time: Monday-Friday, 1-4pmCost: $150 for 5 daysAges: 10-15Discover the wonders of morphing with stop-motion claymation. Working in a small group, sculpt your own flexible characters with modeling clay. Make 3D sets and create an original storyline featuring transformation. Using a video camera, you’ll shrink, transform, and morph your characters one frame at a time. Finally, record an original soundtrack to complete your video. The finished movies will be posted to YouTube!

2019 ARTIST IN RESIDENCEMargaret Dwyer

ArtisTree is once again excited to partner with the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock to offer arts and nature programming throughout the summer and into the fall. Local New Hampshire artist Margaret Dwyer has been selected as 2019 Artist in Residence to help connect visitors to the landscape through art and the artistic process.

Margaret will offer free workshops and demonstrations in painting and mixed media at both ArtisTree and the park.
