FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 9 at 6PM

Artist Claire Ashley and musician Joshua Patterson will stage a free public performance entitled Hot Rocks in Uptown Normal’s Roundabout. Five specially-made inflat-able sculptures powered by student performers sealed inside will roll out the gallery doors and transform the Roundabout into a surreal dance floor as they frolic in response to live music played by Patterson. This perfor-mance is held in conjunction with Cawt, Taut, Hot …. Not, Ashley’s summer solo exhibition at University Galleries, which features Dayglo-colored pneumatic sculptures.
